00:00Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has ordered the Human Resources Ministry to review Talent Corp's handling of applications from professionals seeking

00:09to return to Malaysia.

00:11Communications Minister Fahmi Fazil disclosed that Anwar wanted the Ministry to report its findings to the Cabinet.

00:18The review would examine the status of applications, processing times, and approval or rejection figures for Malaysians seeking to return

00:26and serve the country.

00:27Fahmi noted that the directive followed the concerns raised with the PM by the Malaysian Medical Council.

00:35Health Minister Zulkifli Ahmad had explained that Talent Corp's returning expert programme aimed to attract overseas Malaysian professionals to return

00:44home.

00:45The highest number of applications had come from the United Kingdom, Singapore and Australia.

00:51Zulkifli noted that foreign staff were also allowed to work under strict conditions regulated by the MMC and Malaysian Nursing

00:59Board to meet staffing needs in critical specialties and selected locations.
