Congress Limits Vande Mataram to 2 Stanzas, BJP Hits Back: “Insult to National Song”
ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಮತ್ತೊಮ್ಮೆ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಗೀತೆ 'ವಂದೇ ಮಾತರಂ' ರಾಜಕೀಯ ಜಂಗುಳಿಗೆ ಕಾರಣವಾಗಿದೆ. ಅಧಿಕೃತ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ವಂದೇ ಮಾತರಂ ಹಾಡಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಕಟ್ಟುನಿಟ್ಟಿನ ನಿಯಮ ತಂದಿದ್ದರೂ, ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಕಾರ್ಯಕಾರಿ ಸಮಿತಿ ಮಾತ್ರ ಗೀತೆಯ ಮೊದಲ ಎರಡು ಚರಣಗಳಿಗೆ ಮಾತ್ರ ಸೀಮಿತವಾಗಿರಲು ನಿರ್ಧರಿಸಿದೆ. ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್‌ನ ಈ ನಡೆಗೆ ಬಿಜೆಪಿ ಮುಖಂಡರು ಮುಗಿಬಿದ್ದಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಇದು ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಗೀತೆಗೆ ಮಾಡಿದ ಅಪಮಾನ ಎಂದು ಕಿಡಿಕಾರಿರುವ ಬಿಜೆಪಿ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ವಕ್ತಾರ ಸುಧಾಂಶು ತ್ರಿವೇದಿ, ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಪಕ್ಷ ಈಗ "ಹೊಸ ಮುಸ್ಲಿಂ ಲೀಗ್" ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ವರ್ತಿಸುತ್ತಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಟೀಕಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯ ಹೋರಾಟದ ಏಕೈಕ ಹಕ್ಕುಸ್ವಾಮ್ಯ ಹೊಂದಿದ್ದೇವೆ ಎನ್ನುವ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್‌ನ ಬಣ್ಣ ಬಯಲಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
A fresh political controversy has erupted over the national song Vande Mataram. While the government has reportedly insisted that the complete song be performed at official programmes, the Congress Working Committee has decided to restrict its rendition to the first two stanzas.The BJP has launched a sharp attack on the Congress over the decision. BJP national spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi accused the party of insulting the national song and alleged that Congress is behaving like a “new Muslim League.” He also attacked the Congress's claim of having a leading role in India's freedom struggle, saying the party's position has now been exposed.
