00:00Through that period of time, he really showed me a different perspective on bowling.
00:04And the reason why he was so good, he was always looking at taking wickets,
00:07no matter what, even in the 2020 format.
00:09But the opportunities he gave me, whether it was opening the bowling
00:12or batting at number four through that IPL was just huge.
00:18And seeing how he was able to bring a group together so quickly as well in 2008,
00:22like he did, just was an incredible skill that Shane Warne's got.
00:26I've just been very lucky to meet so many different great people
00:29because of the IPL, whether it's someone like Tim Southie,
00:32who I thought very different of when I played against him.
00:39But when you're able to get to know someone off the cricket field,
00:42you realise that he's one of the nicest guys I've met playing cricket,
00:47so looks always can be deceiving, I'm sure.
00:50And I know he felt the exact same way about me.
00:52Can you name all the injuries that you've had?
00:54I don't know.
00:54Really?
00:54Well, just about every muscle in the body I've done something with.
01:00I've hurt myself.
01:01But look, probably the biggest ones were my stress fractures in the back.
01:06They were, you know, I've had about five or six sets through stress fractures since I was 12.
01:12So that was probably the biggest thing.
01:13But it also meant I had to work very hard on my fitness, on my bowling technique as well.
01:17What changed, I mean, in your rehab or restoration or your general workout routine to accommodate all of that?
01:23Did you make some changes in your lifestyle?
01:25Yeah, well, my lifestyle is always, I didn't have to change that much as more.
01:29I remember, no partying.
01:30Yeah, no partying.
01:30None of that.
01:31We're clean.
01:32That's a clean slate.
01:33Yeah.
01:33But from a training perspective, yeah, I had to get bigger and stronger.
01:36I had to work very hard on my core strength as well to be able to try and hold my
01:41back together, really.
01:42But then sort of later on, after I did all that gym work and got bigger and stronger,
01:47then I started to get hamstring injuries and calf injuries, which through I was about 25 or 26.
01:53And that was probably mentally the hardest part, the hardest injuries that I went through
01:59because I felt like as soon as I started to get some momentum playing-wise, I just...
