00:03Hey, it's People in 10.
00:05Tributes continue to pour in for Hayden Panettiere,
00:08who was found unresponsive in South Carolina on Sunday.
00:11Her father, Skip, called her an incredible light and a force of nature,
00:15while Viola Davis remembers her as an old, wise soul with such a deep heart.
00:20Many more of her former co-stars also pay tribute.
00:23Send me so much love to Hayden's family.
00:27As well as her close friends and her ex-fiance, Vladimir Klitschko,
00:31whose dad to Hayden's 11-year-old daughter, Kaya.
00:35The idea that anybody would think that I would just give away my child
00:40and be okay with it is heartbreaking.
00:44Couldn't be further from the truth.
00:47It was so brave of her to be open about her struggles over the years.
00:51I'm sure she's helped so many people.
00:53Hayden was just 36 years old.
00:58After a week of emotional tributes,
01:00another family is looking back on a life and loss still deeply felt.
01:05Charles Spencer is releasing a book in September about his sister, Princess Diana.
01:10It's called Swan Song,
01:11and it's the first time he's speaking openly and at length about her.
01:15He says he wants to tell Diana's story from his perspective
01:18and do it in a positive way.
01:20He calls her a one-off dynamic character who left the world a better place.
01:27Well, these two newlyweds are clearly in sync.
01:31Tayla and Travis were long distance this week as Chief's training camp wrapped up for the summer.
01:35But when she was spotted at a wedding in the UK, she had a piece of hubby with her.
01:39Her wedding band, which we couldn't help but notice,
01:42along with her new shoulder length haircut and those signature bangs.
01:45This feels like the shortest hair we've seen from her in a while.
01:49Love it!
01:50Trav, meanwhile, probably wasn't loving it when the Chiefs lost their first preseason game.
01:55But we spied a wedding ring there too.
01:57Different countries, different events, same energy.
02:03And Kaylee Cuoco celebrating baby number two with a shower fit for a taco lover?
02:09Yes!
02:09Her Fiesta-themed festivities look like a blast for her and her daughter Matilda.
02:14The party also brought out some famous friends,
02:17including Lacey Chabert, Kimberly J. Brown, and her former on-screen sister, Amy Davidson.
02:22Kaylee called the day just the sweetest,
02:25as a very happy Matilda munched away in front of a Taco Bell decorated cake.
02:31And the baby boom continues.
02:33Salma Hayek is a grandma.
02:40Look at those smiles!
02:42Her stepson welcomed the fourth living generation of Francois with his wife, Laura.
02:47But while the new baby shares the same name as Salma's stepson, husband, and father-in-law,
02:52the actress plans to call him Panchito.
02:55And I think he likes it.
02:56Panchito!
03:00Panchito!
03:00And Queen Rania of Jordan expanded her grandchildren club when her daughter with King Abdullah, Princess Iman,
03:07welcomed twin girls with her husband, Jameel.
03:10Talia and Rania, named of course after Grandma,
03:13joined their 18-month-old big sister, Amina.
03:15Healthy, happy, and finally here.
03:18Indeed.
03:19Congrats, ladies!
03:21Okay, now let's talk fur babies,
03:24because voting is officially open for People's 2026 World's Cutest Rescue Dog Contest,
03:29presented by Pedigree.
03:31Thousands entered, and these are your 10 finalists,
03:35including Tiberius, who was found blind as a stray.
03:38There's pillow and shoe-obsessed Poppy,
03:40Sundance, who also goes by Sunny,
03:42and Gizmo, to name just a few.
03:44This is gonna be a rough one.
03:46They're all the cutest in my book.
03:48You have until September 28th to cast one vote every day,
03:52which will help us narrow 10 down to three.
03:55Then the winner will be chosen with the help of New Jersey housewife Dolores Catania
03:58and other celebrity judges.
04:00And the grand prize will be awarded on October 19th.
04:04So vote, vote, vote.
04:05Woof, woof!
04:06Kim Kardashian and Lewis Hamilton are more lovey-dovey than ever.
04:10They couldn't keep their hands off of each other,
04:13as they went full vacation mode from tropical Hawaii.
04:16Where they had romantic walks on the beach,
04:19chased adventure on the waves,
04:21and showed off a little PDA.
04:23But it was family-friendly at times, too.
04:25Her sister Chloe was there,
04:26and so were the kids.
04:29Elsie Hewitt is giving Pete Davidson props,
04:31despite a rocky year.
04:33They share an eight-month-old daughter, Scottie Rose,
04:36and Elsie shouted out her baby daddy
04:38for scoring her tickets to Olivia Dean's concert
04:40at Madison Square Garden.
04:41She posted pics from the show,
04:43and said she and Scottie danced to Olivia every day.
04:47She also said her music's been with her
04:49through every up and down this year.
04:51Baby, I'm gonna be my own boyfriend.
04:58Happy to see these two in a slightly better place
05:01after they split in May.
05:02At that time,
05:04a source said they were struggling to be friends
05:05and co-parent amicably.
05:07And at some points,
05:08it looked pretty messy.
05:10So hopefully time continues to heal all,
05:12or most.
05:15Everyone is going bananas
05:16for Kristen Bell's surprise cameo.
05:18The Frozen star hit it out the park on Saturday
05:21with the help of the Savannah Bananas in Denver.
05:24Cause for the first time in forever,
05:28there'll be music,
05:30there'll be light.
05:32Kristen was then joined by Broadway star Derek Klenner,
05:35who last linked up with the exhibition team
05:38back in December.
05:39Foolish,
05:40dancing through life,
05:42mindless and careless.
05:44After some love for Wicked,
05:45they paid homage to Dirty Dancing too.
05:48Because I had the time of my life.
05:54And so did everyone at that game.
05:56Oh, and Kristen,
05:58can't wait to see you in Frozen 3 next year.
06:02Now it's a sit down with Ken Jennings.
06:04Hi, Ken.
06:05We can't wait.
06:07A new season of Jeopardy! Masters starts August 25th.
06:10What can we expect?
06:11You're going to see like the most daring wagers.
06:14You're going to see the most obscure fact,
06:16you know,
06:16the hottest brains in America.
06:19And,
06:19you know,
06:20and it's Jeopardy!
06:21It's wholesome.
06:21It's comfort food.
06:22We love when we get to hear a bit from each contestant.
06:25So Ken,
06:26what's your advice for the perfect anecdote?
06:28That a good Jeopardy! anecdote
06:29is a little bit like a Mad Lib.
06:32Something like,
06:33you know,
06:33it says here that you have,
06:35you are,
06:36even though you're in your 30s,
06:37you own two tricycles
06:39and they're both orange.
06:41You know,
06:41like,
06:42on paper,
06:43that's kind of a boring story.
06:44Somebody has two orange tricycles.
06:45But when you think about it on Jeopardy!
06:47That's kind of the perfect thing.
06:48What's the most embarrassing anecdote
06:50you gave during your run as a contestant?
06:53I didn't feel like I had a great story
06:54in game number three,
06:55much less game number 73.
06:58So a lot of my stories are,
07:00and I've confessed this before,
07:01not 100% true.
07:03It's just,
07:04you know,
07:04something that you and Alex can chat about
07:06for 25 seconds,
07:07like mission accomplished.
07:08So I told him once that I liked airline food.
07:10That's not really true.
07:13He asked me if I had any dark secrets
07:14and I told him,
07:15I killed a man down south once.
07:16Also not true.
07:18Just I want to say that for the record.
07:19So we don't fact check.
07:21We're not the New Yorker on Jeopardy!
07:22If you don't have a story,
07:24you know,
07:25just juge something a little bit
07:27and you can probably get away with it.
07:28If you never become a Jeopardy! champ,
07:31never went on to become host of the whole thing,
07:33what do you think you'd be doing right now instead?
07:35I was like pushing 30 when I went on Jeopardy!
07:38So we were kind of doing okay.
07:39Like my wife and I had just had our first baby.
07:42We just bought like a little starter home
07:44right outside Salt Lake City, Utah.
07:45I was a computer programmer.
07:47It was going okay.
07:48The only thing was I didn't really love my job.
07:51Like I wasn't a very good programmer.
07:53My wife reminded me I had this idea
07:54that I would like start become a mural painter.
07:57I would paint murals on kids' walls
07:59because I like doing that for fun.
08:01But all these ideas like never happened
08:03because I got lucky
08:04and I got to go on my favorite show.
08:07So there is a world out there
08:08where I lose my very first game.
08:10You know,
08:11one daily double goes the other way.
08:13That can happen.
08:14And now I'm a zero game Jeopardy! champion
08:16and maybe I'm painting
08:18Winnie the Pooh murals in a daycare somewhere
08:20and I'm very happy
08:22and Aaron Rodgers is hosting Jeopardy!
08:25I'm not sure.
08:26I mean, he was pretty good.
08:28He was a solid guest host.
08:30He was my wife's favorite actually.
08:31And when I tried to figure out why,
08:33I was like,
08:34honey, you know,
08:34I was a guest host too
08:35and she was like,
08:36well, he's very handsome.
08:37Quick little rapid fire.
08:39What famous thinker from history
08:40do you think would do best on the show?
08:42Like, do you think Einstein would fare well?
08:44Maybe that's like a Benjamin Franklin type,
08:46you know,
08:46who's like,
08:47he's an inventor,
08:49but he also like knows
08:50all the French dance crazes
08:52because he's a womanizer
08:53and he also,
08:54you know,
08:54he knows science,
08:55he knows politics.
08:56It's got to be somebody like that.
08:58Is it being smart
08:59or is it paying attention in school?
09:01I would say it's paying attention all the time.
09:02Like if you're,
09:03it's not like you're a genius
09:04if you're on Jeopardy!
09:05You're just very curious about everything.
09:07What percentage of the questions in one show
09:09do you usually know the answer to?
09:12Oh,
09:12it's declined over time.
09:14But then there's so many times
09:15where I'm like,
09:15oh,
09:16what's her name?
09:18And finally,
09:19who's been your favorite Jeopardy! winner
09:20of all time?
09:21And why is it Jamie Ding?
09:24You know,
09:25as the host of Jeopardy!
09:26I can't show any favoritism,
09:28but obviously when a player
09:29goes for a while,
09:31you know,
09:31I'm like the audience.
09:32I get invested too.
09:33Not because I'm rooting for or against them,
09:35but just like,
09:36you know,
09:36I can't wait to see how long it'll go.
09:37Like,
09:38Jamie was the guy,
09:39the first person in a few years
09:41that I thought like,
09:41this guy could beat my record.
09:44And like,
09:45he's such a sweetheart too.
09:46And so I'm glad that like,
09:47the viewing audience like,
09:48picked up on that.
09:49It ain't over till it's over.
09:50Jamie,
09:51an outstanding run for you.
09:52And then it is over.
09:53But...
09:54I think the magic of Jeopardy!
09:55is how it makes learning
09:56and being smart cool.
09:58Why do you think the show
09:59has such staying power?
10:01For young audiences,
10:02old audiences,
10:03red states,
10:03blue states,
10:04it doesn't matter.
10:04Like,
10:04this is a place where America
10:05comes together
10:06and,
10:08you know,
10:09facts actually matter.
10:10You know,
10:10it doesn't matter what your opinion.
10:11If there's a clue about the moon landing,
10:13you can't say,
10:14what is,
10:15that never happened,
10:15Ken.
10:16You know,
10:16that's just not how Jeopardy! works.
10:18You know,
10:18there's expertise
10:20and scholarship on Jeopardy!
10:22and that's how it should be.
10:24It's a hopeful sign for me.
