A mostly enjoyable and slightly enthusiastic ride in the earliest days of spring. This particular ride was on a day was quite crisp. The shadows over the road retained a lot of "night cold" in the surface, so tyre temperatures did not build up as quickly.
The are two main mood killers in this captured ride. Firstly the roadworks. The fine layer of dust and little gravel stones that become stuck to the tyres while crawling through any construction zone... it takes a little while for the tyres to properly become scrubbed clean again.
The other was at 26:24 on the timeline: a dog on the other side of the road.
As you can see, the open wheeler made it by without incident and catches up, so we can only hope the dog made its way home unscathed.
