00:35Cinema offered me a movie with Aga and Sharon, the first thing that struck my
00:41mind is how am I gonna do it, what am I gonna do with this, how am I gonna deal
00:45with this, because you have relatively mature leads, now you can't have the
00:51usual teenage rom-com sort of thing, I wanna push it into another level, and it
00:56just so happened that I had a pair of friends who were together, they were
01:01good friends for more than 15-20 years, but they never realized they were meant
01:06for each other, okay, sometimes your soulmate is somebody who is in
01:11front of you, but you do not recognize, I think I'm gonna work on
01:16something like this, and Taman Tama Joanne, thanks to, you know, God bless
01:20her and dipity, I was riding my car when Elma Madua called up, and what was
01:24playing on the car radio was Kenny Rogers' Through the Years. Okay, I'm gonna use this
01:31as a theme song, and I'm gonna create a story of two best friends, who come from
01:35extremely different kinds of characters, and then they only realized in the end
01:40that they were meant for each other. Now, how did I get the chemistry of Sharon and
01:44Aga? I made sure they were friends, because they never worked together before, but on
01:51the set, my sets are very, very comfortable, okay, even when I do movies like live show,
01:58or, you know, really, you know, really gritty movies, I make it a point that
02:01everybody's comfortable, and it's a Marcada movie, so everybody got to know each other,
02:06because if there is one rule on my set is nobody is acting. Nobody is acting, because
02:12what should come out is the natural relationship between two people who became
02:16friends, and eventually fell in love, or sometimes they're in denial of that they
02:21are in love, because you're so scared that if you go beyond the borders of
02:26friendship, you would lose the entire relationship. So, you know, it was one of the
02:31most fun movies I've had, and it surprises me that years later, people still say that
02:38that is one movie that they remember more than may minamahal, okay, and it's because
02:44it's a little bit, no, it's not a little bit, it's more mature, it's a more mature look
02:49at human relationships, and I wish we could have more romantic movies, because romance
02:55does not die with age, I think romance is like wine, it becomes more precious with age, and
03:02I hope, okay, I wish, okay, I wish we could do more movies about, you know, I'm so glad
03:13that Charo and Ding Dong did something like that, and I hope we give chances to mature actresses,
03:20artists, and actors, to find love, and show love, and teach the young people that, you know,
03:28love has no age limit, and it's love, love is as important as oxygen.
