00:00The national debt, as you know, it surpassed $40 trillion.
00:04Have you been discussing what to do about that?
00:07Well, I have, and there's been a problem for 35 years.
00:10And what we have now that we've never had before,
00:13we had a pretty good piece of it in my first term, as you know,
00:17is we have tremendous growth.
00:19And the way you take care of debt is with growth.
00:21And we have tremendous growth.
00:23We've never had growth like we have right now.
00:25She's a terrific woman.
00:27And so I thought we'd do a little bit of a rally for her.
00:31And it'll be very interesting.
00:33Mr. President, Charlie Brown faced some criticism
00:36for her response to a debate earlier this week
00:39where she said national security is not her thing.
00:42Well, no, all she was is being honest.
00:44She's very smart, and she was being honest.
00:48I mean, she's into the price of groceries, the price of food, the price of beef.
00:53And it hasn't been her thing.
00:55But she's surrounded by very good people.
00:57And she said that she's totally for the military.
01:01I mean, she's going to do what the military wants
01:03and really what the president wants.
01:06She understands that national security is my thing.
01:09And she is a terrific woman who answered.
01:13I watched that.
01:14And I thought it was a very honest answer, actually.
01:17You can probably make sure you can use the price for the White House Ballroom service.
01:21Yeah.
01:21Is there a key that no tax money will be used in the construction of the ballroom?
01:26You know, we're spending hundreds of millions of dollars on the ballroom.
01:31And it's all from people like me and great companies that are putting it up.
01:36It's going to be close to $400 million.
01:39And it's all paid for by patriots and patriotic companies, big companies.
01:45I'll name the companies probably over the next couple of weeks.
01:49But I want to ask if they mind.
01:51But and really, most of them have said you could use my name gladly.
01:55So that's all money.
01:56No, no taxpayer money for the ballroom at all.
01:59Did you direct Secretary Besson to intervene in the bond market?
02:04No, not at all.
02:06No, he's a very capable man.
02:07He wanted to do it.
02:08He's very good at it.
02:10He is a good touch.
02:11Very good natural touch for the bonds and interest.
02:14And he did that.
02:15The yields have come back up since then.
02:18Have you talked to him about another type of intervention?
02:20Is that something he will be doing?
02:21We have many types of intervention.
02:23That's one.
02:24The ultimate intervention is our military.
02:27And if we have to use that, we will.
02:29Yeah.
02:29The move on beef imports is upsetting some ranchers,
02:32as well as some Republicans are asking you to delay that move on imports.
02:36Well, we want to get the beef prices down.
02:38So we'll get them down a little bit.
02:40And that's what people want.
02:42That's what the voters want.
02:43And that's what I want.
02:45The ranchers are great.
02:47They're my people.
02:47I love the ranchers.
02:48They've done a fantastic job.
02:50But they admit that we need a little help in order to get the prices down.
02:55So that's what we're doing.
02:56Which country is getting a race?
02:59Sorry, you've got it.
03:00We're hearing that MAGA Inc. is going to start spending your war chest.
03:03What races are you putting money into, sir?
03:06Well, I've raised a lot.
03:07And nobody knows what it is.
03:08But I will tell you, it's about $850 million.
03:12And I'll be spending a lot of that money for, and my own money.
03:16But I'll be spending a lot of that money for candidates that I think are good, Republican candidates that I
03:22think are good.
03:23So when you add the $850 million to all of the other money that we've raised, we're in very good
03:29shape.
03:30Mr. President, there are several Republicans who are running for midterms this year who are starting to come out against
03:35AI data centers.
03:37Why do you think they're taking a different approach than you are?
03:40The Senate race in Ohio is one example where it's become a very hot topic.
03:44Well, the data center subject to me is a pretty simple one.
03:47And if you pick the right location, and it's got to be, not every location is perfect for it, but
03:53you pick the right location, what it means for a community is jobs and lots of money and lower taxes.
04:00And the data centers now are mandated by me that they build their own electricity, so they're not taking it
04:05from the grid.
04:07It's going to lower the electric cost because they're building electricity.
04:11And the extra, as an example, we talked about this once.
04:14I'm very proud of it.
04:15It was my idea.
04:16They're going to build their own electric producing facility.
04:20And that electricity that they have left over is going to the grid.
04:24It's going to lower the cost of electricity.
04:27So if I were a community, I would want the data center.
04:30It means jobs.
04:32It means income.
04:33And it means lower taxes.
04:35Do you want Republican candidates to take the same AI, take the same message on data centers that you are?
04:39No, I want them to do what they want.
04:41Some people feel differently.
04:42I really want them.
04:44If a Republican is against the data center, that's okay with it.
04:47I'm only saying that if I ran a community, now there are different types of communities, but generally speaking, if
04:54I ran a community, if I was a mayor or if I was a governor in the state, I would
04:58want to have the data centers.
05:00Because they bring tremendous income.
05:03They're clean.
05:04They produce their own energy.
05:06The new ones are producing their own energy.
05:08I would want to have the data centers.
05:10The national debt, as you know, it surpassed $40 trillion.
05:16Have you been discussing what to do about that?
05:18Well, I have.
05:19And there's been a problem for 35 years.
05:21And what we have now that we've never had before, we had a pretty good piece of it in my
05:26first term, as you know, is we have tremendous growth.
05:30And the way you take care of debt is with growth.
05:32And we have tremendous growth.
05:34We've never had growth like we have right now.
05:36The growth will take care of that very easily.
05:38Mr. President, on the beef deal, which countries did you make that deal with?
05:44What are the sources of the beef deal?
05:47I don't want to say which countries, but there are a few countries, but they're going to be sending in
05:52the highest quality beef.
05:54And it's something that we need.
05:56What else?
05:59By the way, are we going to miss Caroline?
06:01I'm going to miss her.
06:03Let me have that.
06:03Let me have that.
06:04So here are some headlines that Caroline, I've got to stand next to her.
06:08I feel so good with her.
06:10These are incredible headlines that just came out over the last 24 hours.
06:17It's probably easier if I show them to you than reading them.
06:20But basically, the biggest refunds ever given on taxes.
06:26That's big.
06:27Trump bump.
06:28Tax refunds jumped 17%.
06:31American tax refunds increased by $43 billion.
06:35That's money that the government is giving back to the people.
06:39$43 billion.
06:41The FBI had the biggest violent crime drop in 90 years.
06:47These are today's headlines.
06:50The Trump administration marked 15 straight months with zero border releases as apprehension funds.
06:57So they've never had anything like that.
07:00So you've got 15 months with zero people going to our border.
07:05I don't even know how that's possible.
07:08But they're doing a good job.
07:11Maybe you.
07:12Scott Jennings, sir.
07:14Scott Jennings is good.
07:16That one right there.
07:18My friend from Iowa.
07:20But I don't know.
07:21Maybe she doesn't want it.
07:22I don't know.
07:23Maybe Margo.
07:24What do you think of Margo?
07:26Maybe Margo.
07:28Let's see.
07:29Who do we have in this group?
07:30I will tell you this.
07:33And Caroline will tell you this.
07:35I have never had so many job applications in my life.
07:39They all want that job.
07:41They love that job.
07:43She's made that job very glamorous.
07:48Does that indicate that the military options in the region for the U.S. are limited?
07:53No, not at all.
07:54It just means that we're seeing what happens.
07:57They have no money.
07:58They have no Navy.
08:01They have no Air Force.
08:02They are not paying their soldiers.
08:04They're not paying their police.
08:06They have 350% inflation.
08:10So we're just going to sort of see what happens.
08:12And we have total control, as you know, of the border.
08:15We have total control.
08:16If you look at the blockade, we have total control of that entire region having to do
08:22with the Strait of Hormones.
08:25And that means well into it, the land areas.
08:30So they would love to make a deal, but they're not ready to make the right deal, in my opinion.
08:36Have you come to a deal there?
08:39Pretty much.
08:39I think so.
08:40We'll see.
08:40I've dealt with the Prime Minister.
08:42I've got a good relationship.
08:44And, yeah, we have to take care of our farmers.
08:47The farmers are very important to me.
08:50And the deal with Canada is moving along.
08:52And we should be able to have a deal with Canada.
08:54We're also starting on a new deal with Mexico.
08:57A much better deal for the United States.
09:00I only make good deals.
09:02Much better deal for the United States, both with Canada and Mexico.
09:06Thank you very much.
