00:01Hi, Bali interiors. This is Xenia from A-Studio. Welcome to Fila Namiko in Dreamland Beach.
00:08Come and take a peek in my paradise.
00:27So we bought this land in Dreamland about three years ago in the pandemic.
00:33Our family would come up here every weekend to go to the beach and enjoy this part of Bali.
00:39So we decided to find some land here and build a holiday home for us.
00:43And yeah, three years later, it's been a long ride, but we're finally here to show you the results.
00:52Obviously, we try to design to get most views out of every corner of the house.
00:57And following our signature minimalist design, we've used a lot of sharp and angular shapes on the exterior of the
01:05property.
01:05And inside, we've really gone for really warm, soft and curved shapes all through the house.
01:17In the kitchen, we use this beautiful travertine.
01:20We've used it in multiple areas around the house.
01:23And I just really love the color of it and the soft tones.
01:27We've used a lot of like contrasting materials.
01:31So we'll have the stone and then really the soft fabrics of the furniture.
01:35Just like everywhere else throughout the house.
01:37I really like to combine raw materials and soft and with the different shapes all throughout the house.
01:43I really like to keep it really minimalistic and simple.
01:48The focus I feel like in this house should be more on the beauty of the views and the nature.
01:59This is the dining room of Villa Namiko.
02:03This is really my favorite part of the house.
02:06We pretty much designed everything around this space because of the beautiful views.
02:13What I also really love about this space is again, we've really tried to mix the materials.
02:18where we have more of the natural stone in here, which is a contrast with all the soft fabrics
02:24that we use for the chairs.
02:26Yeah, so this is really my favorite part of the villa.
02:33So this is the powder room of the house and this was actually not really intentionally designed.
02:40We just had this space when we looked at our floor plan and we thought we have to use it.
02:45Like we can't just have it as storage. It was sort of part of our entrance.
02:48And then we decided to make it a powder room.
02:51So it's like a very special powdery room with one of the best views in the house actually.
03:03So in this house we decided to have like a full open plan living area.
03:08With this design of this modular sofa, I really wanted to connect all the areas together.
03:14So you can sit on different sides of this sofa and enjoy the beautiful views.
03:19Or be facing the kitchen or dining area.
03:21This house I was really inspired by more like Palm Springs vibes, Hollywood.
03:29But of course with our own signature minimalistic style.
03:34So I'm going to take you up the stairs now to show you our two main bedrooms of the house.
03:40Come and take a look.
03:51This is the master bedroom of the house.
03:55As you can see again, it's designed all around the views.
04:00Here you have the beautiful, the best sunset view out in the whole house.
04:03Yeah, I really love all the soft textures in this room.
04:08It's very simple, but it has a lot of shapes at the same time in here, which I really like.
04:14And I loved all the stainless details that this room has as well.
04:22So welcome to the master bathroom.
04:25We have this beautiful bathtub over here that you can sit in and watch the sunset.
04:31We put this nice linen curtains over the window for privacy, of course.
04:36And even like here with the mirror, you overlook the ocean in the background.
04:47This is the rooftop of the house with, we decided to put a barbecue over here.
04:53This just has the best sunset views over here.
04:56You can overlook all of this area.
04:59So it's such a good like cool spot to hang out with your friends and have a little barbecue
05:04on the afternoons that it's not too hot.
05:06We can sit here and hang out.
05:14This is the second master of the house.
05:17I particularly love this room because it has this beautiful window,
05:20which really looks like a picture frame with the ocean in the background.
05:24So I really like that about this bedroom.
05:26So here we have this beautiful stone wall again,
05:30that comes all the way down from the lowest floor all the way up to the top,
05:34which you see it goes through the living room and it comes back here
05:37in this master room.
05:38So we have this massive custom made bed here with this beautiful soft fabric.
05:43All actually, almost all of the furniture that we have in this house is custom made by a studio
05:50that my team designed for us.
05:52Yeah, to perfectly fit the house exactly how we want it.
05:59So here's another custom piece that we made, this beautiful outdoor sofa.
06:04My team created this for me and I absolutely love it.
06:08We really try to have like outdoor areas with views on almost every spot in the house.
06:13So wherever you are, you can go in and outside and enjoy the views and sunset everywhere.
06:25So as this is our holiday home, we designed the house to be able to use with our friends and
06:30family.
06:31So we are now going to go down to the other two bedrooms, which are located down the stairs.
06:45So this is the family room of this house.
06:48We designed this room so you can stay with your whole family in this room.
06:52It has like a double bed on the bottom and then on the top we have the bunk bed with
06:57the two single beds.
06:58Again, I wanted to have the element of like a soft headboard on the entire wall.
07:05So like what we did in the master upstairs.
07:08So that comes back again here in this room.
07:14This is the cinema room that we created in this house.
07:17Obviously in this area of Bali, it gets super hot during the day.
07:21So I wanted to have like this little room, like TV room where we can all hang out.
07:27Where you can just cool down and sit in here, watch a movie with family and friends.
07:34Yeah, so this is the perfect room in the house to come together.
07:41This is the last bedroom of the house.
07:43It's been quite challenging in all the rooms in this house because they,
07:47some of them have like really different shapes.
07:50What I really like about this room is that it has these very sharp edges in the space of the
07:55room.
07:56But we try to soften it up with this beautiful big round carpet and the soft fabrics on the wall
08:02again.
08:03And more of the rounded shapes combined with all the sharp edges in the house.
