00:12We're unsure what happened to their puppies but the second anyone stepped toward them they ran away in fear.
00:18For seven days straight Audrey drove an hour round trip twice a day just to establish a feeding routine,
00:23keep them nearby and to build trust.
00:25It was clear to her that with everything they had been through they never left each other's side.
00:29They had such a powerful bond and you can clearly see that they found comfort in each other.
00:33And because of that she knew things can get a little tricky if she took one wrong move while rescuing

00:38They were obviously traumatized so chasing them was out of the question.
00:41But here's the real nightmare.
00:43If one dog got trapped the other one could potentially see it happen, get spooked and never come near a
00:47trap ever again.

00:51Audrey had to carefully figure out a plan to rescue both of them at the exact same time.
00:56So that's when she called in Lauren Stewart from Rescue House and together they came up with a plan.
01:00They were going to rig a specialized misty trap that could be remotely activated once both dogs were inside the
01:05cage.
01:05For the next several days Audrey had set up some cameras and she studied their movements and behaviors.
01:11Finally on day seven they set up the trap and within 30 minutes
01:16they successfully caught both of the dogs.
01:24Despite all the cruelty they endured, they were still wagging their tails and showing lots of love to Audrey.
01:32It's stories like these that remind me just how pure dogs truly are.
01:36In Audrey's community there are no local rescues so she's the only one doing this kind of work.
