00:00Deshaun Watson is making every headline over the weekend because not only does he stink,
00:05but he's out there blasting the fan base for booing him and saying how disrespectful it is.
00:11And then we wake up today and find out that Coach Munkin's like, yep,
00:15Deshaun Watson's going to be our starting quarterback in week one. So if I'm Shador
00:21Sanders, do I look at it like, well, of course he's got to be the starter, right? It's, it's,
00:27look at all the money that they're paying him. Or am I looking at like, I'm not even good enough.
00:33I can't beat out a 30 year old washed up has been like Deshaun Watson. Like which way do you
00:40view
00:40this here, Tom? You know, I said this at the top and I think the Browns did this very simply
00:46because
00:47they, they went out and gave up a ton of assets to get Watson. They paid him a ton of
00:51money and they
00:52just have to validate it to themselves. They just have to say, it's a sunk cost,
00:57but I'm just going with it. Right. That's what it comes down to. And I think systemically and from
01:02an organization standpoint, it's easier to go from Watson to Sanders. Like if Watson,
01:08they started like one in five, which nobody's surprised by it. It's just easier to move to
01:12Shador Sanders and say, okay, he's the future. Whether they cut Watson or they just make him inactive
01:19and it's going to be Dylan Gabriel and Taylor green behind him. It's just easier to go Watson
01:23to Sanders rather than Sanders. And they're bad. Then Sanders back to Watson. I think that's what
01:27it comes down to. They spent the assets and it's just easier to move the franchise in this direction.
01:33I'll give you the numbers too behind it, Tom, which, which makes sense. But if you remember last
01:39year, right to up was about $55 million in dead cap money for Miami. If, if they cut him,
01:47right. What did they do? They ended up cutting him because well, let's face it. He's Atlanta's
01:51problem. Now, if they were to cut to Sean Watson before the regular season, $86 million dead cap hit
02:00for 2027. So my question is, do you just cut the, I just ripped the bandaid off. What are we

02:07here? Just, I mean, you're not winning a championship this year anyway. So why not just give Shador the
02:16keys to the franchise? That's what I think should be done. But again, I think they're just there.
02:22Again, they need some type of like, I don't want to say confirmation bias, but they just need to like
02:26have the bias and confirmation of the trade that they made to get it. And whether Sanders takes
02:30over at week five or six or seven or eight or whatever it's ended up being, no one's going to
02:34be shocked. We all know the Browns plan this year, or at least I think I know what their plan
02:39is in my
02:40head. They want a player who's playing in orange slash burnt arms right now in college to end up
02:45being their quarterback in a different orange uniform, uh, come this time next year, if they
02:49can get Arch Manning at the top or one of the many great quarterbacks that are coming in the class.
02:54So get Sanders in there eventually, because at least they have two picks Tom, don't they next year?
03:00I think they have two number ones coming up, right? Well, with what the trades that they've
03:05gotten, well, when they traded everybody there, but I, you know, they're in pretty good shape next
03:10year. I also think the first two games of the season, I believe for the Browns is on the road.

03:19So the third game could be Sandy's at home.
03:24Exactly it. So the fans won't destroy them the first two games, but so maybe they're just like,
03:30let's get this out of the way. Let's roll them out there. Uh, because by week three, it could be
03:36Sanders coming home to be the starter here, but you gotta be, if I'm Shador Sanders, I gotta be.
03:42I mean, granted you're a fifth round. Let's not get crazy. You were a fifth round pick here. That's
03:46what you were, despite what, uh, what you thought you might've been, but it's just a little more
03:52patience and they'll have the opportunity to be their franchise quarterback for this year. But the
03:58reality is you have two games to figure it out. Basically with the Sean Watson on the road,
04:04you cannot come back to Cleveland in game three, uh, Tom and be like, Oh, and two and be like,
04:10no, no, he's we're working through things like that. Can't happen. No.
04:14Uh, I think that might end up happening. Yeah. I mean, it's not like that. Here's the,
04:18here's a very fair way to put it. Have the bears, excuse me, not the bears, have the Browns ever

04:23anything to suggest otherwise that they'll act competently as a franchise and do things properly.
