00:08Well in Australia we do that two ways. The first is how we create and transfer
00:14knowledge and we do that through things like seminars and workshops and
00:18conferences and our biggest conference is held every two years and attracts over
00:22a thousand people so it's a fantastic opportunity to to share knowledge. The
00:28second element is networking and collaboration by joining such things as
00:33Women in Energy and NGN and currently we have well over 500 members in our NGN
00:40cohort. The third area is our mirror panels that are Australian panels that
00:45mirror the work of the 16 study committees and we have about 400 plus people on
00:52those panels so the value for membership comes from the opportunity to be at
00:57events, to be on panels and to collaborate through things like NGN and WIE
01:03initiatives and that's what we do in SEGA Australia.
01:15Grid resilience and flexibility will be highly driven by a combination of advanced
01:21software like energy management system or advanced distribution management systems
01:26combined for example with battery energy storage with grid forming. Resilience
01:32is also driven by our ability to interconnect between countries and
01:37continents with high voltage DC and finally the stability part of resilience will be
01:44highly driven by new technologies such as East.com or medium voltage UPS namely to
01:50stabilize AI workloads in data centers.
02:03Let me bring this to life with three examples firstly we address real industry challenges bringing
02:10together through working groups experts with different experiences different perspectives experience of
02:16different regulatory regimes to define good practice and to make recommendations that both
02:22inform and accelerate decision making. Secondly we work collaboratively with other organizations such as
02:29CRED and NSOE and that's a big change I've seen in Seagrey in my 25 years. When we put the
02:35consumer at the heart of what we do we need to look at the energy system holistically rather than a
02:42single energy vector or within that vector at be it transmission level or distribution level.
02:46Lastly but by no means least I'd point to Seagrey's African Academy as a great example of where we bring
02:55global experts together to share knowledge and to build capability which we can then transform and to make an impact.
03:02In the most recent get together we had experts from the world reaching out to representatives from 14 different African
03:11countries that's a real-life example of taking knowledge and expertise transforming it into an impact. Thank you.
03:28So the biggest challenge today are the bottlenecks on the grid and the requirements for affordability and reliability but there
03:38is a hidden gem there is a lot of capacity in the current grids that are not fully utilized and
03:45this can be unlocked by better utilizing
03:49the refurbishment the refurbishment and upgrades of the existing, extending the lifetime of the existing equipment, digitalization and monitoring of
03:59the assets so they can be utilized to their full extent and having service capabilities who can immediately act and
04:08pre-act on those assets so they can be fully utilized through the life cycle of the equipment and not
04:16just a short time.
