00:46i follow sports and i guess i i guess i knew you guys had a new arena but it is

00:51it's yeah it's really cool have you played other places here in detroit um yeah i mean i've been to
00:57mark ridley's over the years several times uh and it's always i mean i think that's one of the first
01:03comedy clubs in the midwest so uh it's it's it's a great place yeah a lot of people say that

01:08really like to uh play there and of course so you're gonna be coming up and uh so yeah tell

01:12about that on nate bergatzi tour is that over now just ended uh this weekend you guys were the second
01:17last uh market i think for 180 cities and he uh wow yeah yeah we we were in toronto the
01:23next night
01:24and the guinness book of world records showed up and uh presented him he's the biggest comedy tour in
01:28history no kidding how many how many uh seats were sold do you remember it was over two million wow
01:35yeah and you weren't all the dates no no i wasn't he's he does a nice job of sort of
01:40working on us in
01:41and out but i was on a good amount it was pretty cool yeah and and you've done stuff with
01:45nate in the
01:46past correct yeah yeah yeah he's a very generous guy to let some of us tag along he's got to
01:53become
01:53in the uh the adam sandler of the uh the 2020s yeah it's a lot like that man he takes
01:57care of his
01:58friends you know yeah yeah now if i'm not mistaken uh you were uh did did you voice his uh

02:05i was the announcer yeah yeah i was like kind of the uh co-host uh announcer type guy it
02:12was a new
02:13thing for me but it was man that was a blast he told me about that uh about 48 hours

02:19started filming well were you supposed to be part of the show at all no i mean he just wasn't

02:25what he was going to do he they didn't really know the like the format he had a couple i
02:30think he had a
02:31couple big big names that were going to be in that role and that i think the timing didn't quite
02:36work
02:36out he's like ah let's let greg do it so i was like i was like hey man are you
02:41sure no it was great
02:43man he literally told me backstage he had a show in cincinnati i was like he's like i need help

02:49the game show i'm like yeah dude i'll help write jokes for you what are you talking about he's like
02:52no man i need you to be on the game show i'm like what i was supposed to do the

02:59the first time ever on jimmy fallon and uh he's like i'll call jimmy and get you another date or
03:05whatever so it helps when when you got people like that yeah for sure so you did jimmy in december
03:11yeah yeah it was great and that was your first time that was my first time on the tonight show

03:15mean i've been on a bunch of national tv stuff and it did ferguson a bunch of times seth meyer

05:26you were a wrestler in high and uh in college were you wrestling high school too yeah yeah man uh

05:31wrestled the i started wrestling i was five years old my dad was my coach and uh yeah man had
05:36some
05:36uh my senior year in college in the ncaa tournament if you make the top eight you you get called
05:45all
05:46american and uh i had lost in that match the year previously and uh i i won my senior year
05:52against a
05:53guy from university of michigan actually oh and uh who is now the uh head coach of the university of
05:59michigan sean bormett he's a friend of mine i want to specify like he he was a freshman at the
06:04time i was a
06:04senior he he was like the number five seed but i got him and he was a went on to
06:09be a much better
06:10wrestler than i ever dreamed of being but i got him that day and uh yeah i think i think
06:14he hates it
06:15uh he tells his uh he tells the guys because michigan's really good at wrestling he's a great
06:21coach but he tells him sometimes he's like uh listen guys you never know you can't get cocky you
06:26know you gotta stay on it in the national tournament i had lost to some stupid comedian from
06:32missouri and uh it's haunted me ever since so that's like that's like the speech that they give
06:38uh that what's his name gave before the uh miracle game yeah herb yeah yeah yeah and i think even
06:43before the game that the united states played this year against canada someone said uh this will haunt
06:47you for the rest of your life yeah yeah yeah i've had a couple of those matches that have haunted

08:03uh michigan is is got is perennially a top 10 team sean's got a great situation i think they're
08:10pretty young this year um so they're kind of a wild card they've got some pretty big time recruits
08:16that could you know these days man it's like there's freshmen that come out and win a national
08:20championship so you don't know yeah not to go too far off the tracks here but did were you wrestling
08:25at the time when kurt angle was wrestling or is he younger i was yeah i was probably three years
08:31younger than kurt i mean he wrestled a clarion okay and i i want to he won a national championship
08:36when i was wrestling he was a heavyweight you know and wrestled man i don't know if he ever wrestled
08:42one of my teammates but yeah sure i was aware of him yeah and do you do pay attention to

08:46time wrestling at all and or no uh you mean wwe yeah yeah yeah no man because they were they

08:53in the building i think uh no wait they're in buffalo the other day that's right never mind
08:56i grew up in buffalo that's that that's another story but uh but yes that's yeah it's cool you know

09:18airports you've been in in uh in your travels man this one hurts me um but i would say recently
09:25kansas city um kansas city has an amazing airport and it's brand new and i'm i live in st louis

09:33they're they used to have the worst airport in the country it was an embarrassment and now
09:39it's way better than st louis it bothers me a little bit yeah all right what about the best
09:44hotels in the country where do you where do you stay at what do you like well listen man i
