The phrase “Who Are MrBeast’s Wife Ex Boyfriends” has become a popular search query, but it is also one that requires careful and responsible treatment.
MrBeast, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson, is one of the most recognizable creators on the internet, and any discussion about his personal life tends to attract significant attention.
However, the wording of this topic is based on a misleading assumption, because MrBeast is not publicly known to have a wife.

00:00That's Mr. Beast and his wife, Thea Boogsson. But before meeting Mr. Beast, there were other
00:04love interests she managed to keep out of the spotlight for years. In this video, I'll pull
00:09back the curtain on her rumored ex-boyfriends, the relationships fans are uncovering, and why
00:13many believe the secrecy has finally backfired. The truth about Thea Boogsson. Before Jimmy
00:19Donaldson, there were other men, or at least that's what sources are saying. Thea Boogsson
00:24spent an entire decade online, and a whole adult life on the record before the biggest YouTuber
00:28on the planet ever showed up. So obviously there was a before. But to understand why
00:32so many people are obsessed with who came before Jimmy, you need to know the genuinely unhinged
00:36story of how she ended up with him. And it all starts with a cancelled trip to Antarctica,
00:40and a man walking around Cape Town, interviewing women like he was filling a vacancy.
00:44Mr. Beast had a plan for Antarctica. He had Logan Paul and Casey Neistat with him, and the
00:49whole production was moving. And then COVID cases turned up inside the traveling group,
00:53and the entire thing collapsed. So instead of standing on the coldest continent on Earth,
00:57the biggest YouTuber in the world found himself stranded in Cape Town with an empty schedule,
01:01and a crew with absolutely nothing to shoot. So he went out. And this is where Louisa Boogsson
01:06earns her place in the story. Because Thea's younger sister crossed paths with the group while they
01:10were out and stepped in as a wingman. And through her and a mutual connection Thea got pulled into a
01:14dinner. Though some accounts say it was coffee. Either way she walked into a room containing the most
01:18subscribed creator on the internet with barely any warning, and her read on him was almost
01:22aggressively unimpressed. She has described him as super nice, very down to earth.
01:26What she did not know is that she was being screened. Because Donaldson had a list. An actual
01:31prepared list of questions that he carried into social situations and quietly deployed on the
01:35women he met. And he was not making conversation. He was running a process deliberately and
01:40systematically. On the flagrant podcast, Donaldson said Thea was roughly the 40th woman he had put
01:44through it. Not the 40th date. The 40th candidate run through the same filter. He has described it as
01:50putting people through the ringer. And the criteria were specific. A genuine love of learning,
01:54real hobbies of their own, actual academic drive. 39 women did not clear it. Then a woman sat down
02:01across from him and the machinery jammed. Because she did not scrape past the bar, she made the bar
02:05look like it had been set by somebody with very low expectations. They vibed instantly. Messages
02:10followed including a DM about her writing, which tells you exactly which part of her had registered
02:14with him. And then he did the thing that costs money and therefore means something. He flew back to
02:18South Africa a short time later for a short visit for her. They started dating around April 2022. And their
02:24first appearance as a couple came at the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards that year. Before Donaldson, no one
02:30had ever heard anything about her love life. Local South African coverage has profiled her repeatedly as a
02:35Cape Town high achiever. But there's no news of her ex-lovers. Her own pre-2022 Instagram and ex-history
02:41is
02:41travel, studies, gaming and writing. On the Hobby Podcast in 2024, she covered her childhood in South
02:47Africa. Her degrees, the novel, casting, Disney, Lorkana and Nixa, South African television, including
02:53an expresso show interview. Yet her love life was carefully omitted. Life before, Mr. Beast. By the time
02:59she met Donaldson, Thea Boogson had been streaming professionally for six years, held a law degree and a
03:04psychology honors, was partway through a master's, and had a finished seven-year novel behind her. She did not
03:09clear his bar for a serious partner. She cleared it the way a truck clears a speed bump. Start with
03:14the gaming because that is where she started. At around 18 she began streaming under the handle
03:18Thea Beastie, card games first, and Gwent. The Witcher card game became the center of it. She was
03:23good enough at it that CD Projekt made her an official Gwent caster and flew her out to their
03:27headquarters in Poland. And she also streams League of Legends, The Witcher and later Disney Lorkana.
03:32Now hold it against what she was doing at the same time. She took a bachelor's degree in law at
03:36Stellenbosch University, then an honors degree in psychology. Then she went to the University of
03:41Edinburgh for a master's in human cognitive neuropsychology, which she finished in November
03:452024. And she paid for that last one herself, because she told My Broadband that streaming and esports work
03:50generated roughly R1 million, and she put it straight into the neuroscience degree. Not a car, not a house.
03:56An entire self-funded postgraduate qualification in Scotland, which is worth filing away, because it becomes
04:02very funny later. And while she was doing all of that, she was also writing a novel, The Marked
04:06Children, a young adult book she started in high school and worked on for about seven years before
04:11self-publishing it in 2022. And it sits at roughly 4.3 to 4.7 on Amazon and Goodreads, so
04:17it is not a
04:18vanity project she abandoned at chapter 3. Then in early 2026 she announced she had become a co-owner of
04:23Nixa, a South African esports organization, framing it as a rescue mission. I'm proud to announce that I am now
04:29an official co-owner of Nixa, the best gaming org in South Africa. Too many of our incredible,
04:34hardworking influencers fall through the cracks. Well, I say no more. So that is 3 Degrees,
04:39a decade of streaming, a published novel. Brand deals with Elgato and Volvo South Africa,
04:44an esports org and 1.2 million followers. And she is not shy about any of it, which is the
04:49part people
04:49get wrong about her. She runs a second YouTube channel called More Than Human built around psychology
04:54and education, because apparently one channel about card games was not enough output for her,
04:59and in 2023 she publicly went after Twitch over its updated terms of service, pointing out that
05:04the platform understood the potential damage to streamers, and went ahead anyway in getting
05:08named in the coverage, alongside other creators calling it out. And on X she has taken a hard,
05:13unhedged line against for-profit assisted dying, telling a Canadian assisted suicide company that
05:18advertised its service, I am not a fan of this. It's dystopian and I will fight it until my very
05:22last
05:23breath. She has argued that depression is at a record high. One out of five adults suffer from anxiety
05:28or depression. When a human is at their very lowest, the last thing they need is an easy way out,
05:33and she drew the line at the commercial element in particular. I do not think assisted suicides
05:37should ever enter the domain of for-profit companies. Profit margins do not incentivize empathy.
05:43So that is the woman who broke the filter, a professional gamer with three degrees,
05:47a published novel and strong opinions she is happy to defend under her own name, which makes what
05:51happened next almost impossible to believe. Because her partner runs the most industrialized
05:55documentation machine on earth. A man who has filmed trees, islands, prison cells and entire
06:00neighborhoods. And their relationship is the single asset that machine has never once been allowed
06:05to touch. The one thing he never filmed. Everything about Mr. Beast's public life is content. And then
06:12there is the relationship, which is almost none of it. The logistics alone should have generated a
06:16series. She was in South Africa, he was in North Carolina, and then she moved to Edinburgh for the
06:21Masters, which bolted a third country and a fresh time zone onto a relationship already stretched
06:27across an ocean. She has spoken about the tourist visa constraints that shaped the whole thing,
06:31the limits on how long she could stay in the United States, the year split between continents,
06:35the calendar arithmetic that governs a relationship where one person simply is not allowed to remain.
06:40And they made it work anyway, because around 2024 they moved in together, they adopted a dog,
06:45they bought a house, and the neuropsychology degree came through that November. And almost none of it was
06:50filmed. Thea has turned up in a handful of Mr. Beast adjacent pieces, a Gwent video, some support
06:55for the philanthropic side, and that is more or less the whole list. No couples channel, no vlogs,
07:00no proposal countdown, and her own uploads stayed about gaming, psychology, her book and esports.
07:05What the public gets instead are fragments, like the time he posted fitness progress photos,
07:09and she replied that she fell in love with the left picture, the before shot, and a fan reply
07:14reading, this must be the other half, went round widely. That is the level of access anybody gets.
07:19And Donaldson has been unusually direct about what she does for him, crediting her with helping him
07:24shut his brain off, which, from a man whose entire public identity is built on never once switching
07:29off, is not a small thing to admit. Then came Christmas Day 2024, and the man who once filled
07:34a house with a hundred thousand roses proposed in a living room, in a Christmas jumper, with no cameras
07:40rolling for the internet. Both families were there, because Thea's had flown in from South Africa for
07:45the holiday, and that was the whole point. Donaldson told people that, with Thea being
07:49close to her family, and them visiting from the other side of the world, Christmas was the only
07:53real window, since if he waited they would be back on another continent. They were opening presents,
07:58and for the final gift he asked her to close her eyes, and then, because the man is constitutionally
08:03incapable of a straight line, he intentionally dropped a large box to make a loud noise and create
08:07misdirection. Let her assume the surprise was whatever had just crashed to the floor,
08:11and then produced the actual gift, and got down on one knee. She said yes immediately.
08:15And the way she later described the moment is probably the most revealing thing either of
08:19them has ever said. In my mind, we're already married. We're already on the same page. We talk
08:24about children, how we're going to live together when we're 70 years old. This was just another step
08:28in the process. They were both wearing matching blue Mr. Beast Christmas sweaters reading,
08:32Make the World a Better Place. The dogs are in some of the photos, and the ring is a round
08:36cut
08:37diamond on a rose gold band, with diamonds set on each side. And hold that ring in your mind,
08:42because the internet is about to have an extremely stupid opinion about it. They sat on the news for
08:46a week, and the announcement came on 1 January 2025, with Donaldson posting to Instagram and X
08:52captioned, Ya Boy did a thing smiling smiling smiling, and Thea posting her own, a video of herself on
08:57his lap holding out her hand. The wedding plans are, by design, the exact opposite of everything his
09:02channel stands for, because Thea said they were thinking of doing it, somewhere on an island where
09:06we're far away from just about everybody, close family, close friends, nobody else.
09:11iShowSpeed congratulated him in a clip that went round in early January. Coverage ran in people,
09:16CNN, BBC, the LA Times and Newsweek. Almost all of it built on their own posts because there was
09:21nothing else to build on. And as of July 2026 they are engaged and not married, with Donaldson joking
09:26on X that he may or may not be getting married. The accusation that would not die.
09:31The moment she became visible, the internet reached a verdict, and the verdict was that
09:36she was after his money. In late 2022 on the Wide Awake podcast, Thea described what going public
09:41as Mr. Beast's girlfriend had actually felt like, and the word she used was super anxiety provoking.
09:46Then she quoted the comments straight back, word for word. Oh she's gonna break his heart. She's
09:51gonna be a gold digger. And then she pointed at the flaw sitting underneath the whole thing,
09:55because the people writing that, she noted, did not even know her name. And that is not a figure
09:59of speech. Because at that stage Donaldson had only ever mentioned having, a girlfriend.
10:03So an anonymous woman with no public career, and no public degrees, was being character assessed
10:08by thousands of strangers working from one single date a point, that a rich man was dating her.
10:13Which is exactly what makes the accusation so absurd once the facts turned up.
10:17Remember the self-funded neuroscience masters. The gold digger reading requires you to believe
10:21that a woman who spent a million rand of her own streaming money on a degree in Scotland,
10:25was running a long con that began six years before she had ever laid eyes on the target.
10:30Plenty of people made exactly that point on her behalf. And in the higher engagement results on
10:35X, posts calling the accusations ridiculous outnumbered the pure thirst posts, reaching
10:39first for the education and the pre-existing career. But it kept coming back, and it came back
10:44hardest whenever he was the one in trouble. August 2024 was the worst of it. With allegations swirling
10:49around Donaldson and his company, people went to her channel, a channel about card games and
10:53psychology, and used the comments to lobby her to leave him. And one comment written in Afrikaans
10:58by a fellow South African effectively begged her to get away from him. And she answered it,
11:02and it is the most substantive thing she has ever said about any of the controversies.
11:05I appreciate the message. There is so much that is not being said, I wish I could talk more about
11:10the situation. Half the things that are said are not true, I wouldn't be with him if they were.
11:14It is so important to me to be a good person. Hopefully things will be fixed soon, but for now
11:18I'm
11:18focusing on my studies and trying to stay away from everything. Then she added that she was going
11:22back to her master's dissertation, which is the least dramatic possible way to end a controversy.
11:27Then came the engagement, and the accusation mutated into something almost funnier. When
11:31the ring appeared on 1 January 2025, a section of the internet studied the diamond and decided
11:36it was too small. Discussion focused heavily on the ring size, with users arguing that a man
11:40of Donaldson's wealth should have produced something considerably larger, and others joking
11:44that a proper Mr. Beast proposal should have involved a challenge, a countdown, and a full production
11:48crew. And Donaldson's answer, given to people, closed the loop neatly, because Thea, he said,
11:54would have been happy with a plastic ring. None of which is the whole picture, to be fair,
11:58because the dominant tone around this couple is actually warm, with engagement posts drawing
12:02enormous volumes of congratulation and fans listing her intelligence, her degrees and her independent
12:07career, as the reasons the whole thing makes obvious sense. But the accusation never fully died.
12:12Thea was not the first woman to walk into this exact buzzsaw. There was one before her,
12:16and she got the identical treatment back in 2019, and after years of complete silence,
12:21she came back with something to say.
12:23The woman before
12:24Maddie Speidel was born on 31 March 2000 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Before any of this she
12:31was a dancer, trained at Young Dance Academy, and she performed at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day
12:35Parade in 2016 before building the standard modern trajectory, Instagram, then TikTok, then a YouTube
12:41channel whose first video landed in 2021, built around lifestyle, fashion, and beauty.
12:46She met Donaldson through Twitter DMs, having been trying to get his attention online, which,
12:51given that she was a teenager firing messages at one of the largest accounts on the platform,
12:56worked out considerably better than that normally does.
12:58Their first date was a comedy club, and afterwards they went and looked at stars, and it went public
13:03in the most low-key way imaginable when in mid-June 2019, MrBeast posted an Instagram photo of the
13:08two of them watching a PewDiePie video, captioned, We are simple people. We see a new PewDiePie video,
13:13we watch it. The post was later deleted, and when Drama Alert asked him about it, he confirmed it in
13:18four words, Yes, me a happy boy. And she was accused of being after his money almost on contact,
13:23exactly like Thea would be three years later, except at 19, she deflected the whole thing with one
13:28tweet. If it wasn't clear, I don't want MrBeast for his money, just want to BF with good taste
13:33in anime who can make me laugh. Then came February 2020, and the single most extravagant thing MrBeast
13:39has ever done for someone he was actually dating. Eight months in, he filled a house with 100,000
13:44roses. The video shows the whole operation, two trucks unloading, the crew arranging flowers
13:49through every room, messages spelled out in petals, a baby Yoda design worked into the floor with her
13:54name in it, and in it, he walks through the origin story and describes her as being very smart,
13:58and funny and beautiful. It pulled tens of millions of views, and today it is unlisted.
14:03Which means the grandest romantic gesture in creator economy history, now needs a direct link
14:08to reach, because somebody quietly took it off the shelf. The relationship ended in 2022,
14:13with no joint statement and no farewell post, so fans worked it out by noticing an absence.
14:18And the nearest thing to an explanation came from inside his own circle, because a Rolling Stone
14:23profile reported that people close to Donaldson described Spidal as a positive influence who had
14:28pushed him toward better work-life balance. And his former collaborator of Akris Tyson was quoted
14:33naming the cause directly, that his singular focus on work was a major contributing factor.
14:37So go back to the prepared list of questions and the 39 women. Remember what Donaldson said Thea does
14:43for him, that she helps him shut his brain off. He lost one relationship to the fact that he could
14:47not switch off, and then he went and built a screening process specifically designed to find someone who could
14:52switch it off for him. Spidal went quiet for two years after the breakup, and then, on 8 August 2024,
14:58the same day a wave of allegations broke over MrBeast, she posted a series of Instagram stories
15:03and an ex-post that named nobody at all. She wrote that she had spent years, years being quiet,
15:07never acknowledging that time in my life, framing it narrowly as wanting to speak up for my 19-year-old
15:13self. Then she described the damage. 19 to 21 are formative years, and as a young woman it impacted the
15:18way I saw myself, the way I interpreted my future and how I trusted men, I did the best I
15:23could,
15:23but I was not okay. And she turned it into advice for anyone standing where she once stood. I believe
15:28I should be used as a cautionary tale. If something seems too good to be true, it probably is. How
15:32he
15:33treats other women will ultimately be how he treats you. She never named him, not once, but the arithmetic
15:38did the naming for her, and effectively every outlet that covered it connected the posts to Donaldson.
15:43Since then she has built a lifestyle and personal growth channel, moved to Lowe's Angels,
15:47got her first solo apartment, and the only name attached to her now is a musician called Adam,
15:52who turns up in her December 2024 year-in-review renovating a house and freezing through a birthday
15:58trip in Yosemite, and on a magnet on her fridge in her pink apartment video. House renovations,
16:02a birthday trip, a photo on the fridge, and still the same quiet policy she set for herself back in
16:082022. Which brings us to the line she wrote on X in 2024, the one that traveled furthest and is
16:13still
16:13the coldest thing anyone in this whole story has said. Three years out of the relationship,
16:17with the entire internet demanding details she had no intention of giving, she summed up all of it
16:22in a single sentence. Three years away from that weirdo, my skin is clear, my relationships and
16:26friendships are flourishing, I'm frolicking in a field. Thank you for watching. If you enjoyed
