00:31So, here's exactly what's happening with the new GTA and Netflix reveal.
00:36First, this isn't just another GTA trailer.
00:39Rockstar and Netflix have partnered for a special presentation officially titled Grand Theft Auto 6, An Extended Look.
00:46According to a recent Netflix article, this is a first-of-its-kind partnership with Netflix subscribers getting early access
00:53to the extended look before everybody else.
00:55And that's a pretty insane statement when you think about it.
00:58GTA 6 is arguably the biggest entertainment release in the world right now, and Rockstar is essentially treating this reveal
01:05like the premiere of a major Netflix production.
01:08Netflix itself describes the presentation as a chance to see more of one of the most anticipated releases in entertainment
01:14history.
01:15And, considering we're only a few months away from GTA 6's November 19th release date, this could be one of
01:22the biggest official looks at the game before launch.
01:24Not only that, but GTA 6 and Netflix branding has officially started appearing across physical advertising and billboards,
01:32essentially turning the upcoming reveal into a real-world event.
01:36That's important because Rockstar normally doesn't need to do anything to generate attention for GTA,
01:41But, this time, they're going even bigger, combining the GTA 6 brand with one of the biggest streaming platforms on
01:48the planet.
01:49And that tells you just how important Rockstar considers this reveal.
01:53Now, here's the part you absolutely need to know.
01:56The first premiere of the official trailer happens today, August 27th, at 3 p.m. Eastern on Netflix.
02:03That is, 12 p.m. Pacific, 2 p.m. Central, and 8 p.m. in the UK.
02:08So, if you're in Los Angeles, you've got a noon GTA 6 appointment.
02:12If you're on the East Coast, it's 3 p.m.
02:14And, if you are in the UK, you are waiting until 8 p.m.
02:18Here's the catch.
02:19YouTube doesn't get it at the same time,
02:22because Rockstar's official YouTube channel and the official GTA 6 website
02:26will receive the extended look six hours later at 9 p.m. Eastern or 6 p.m. Pacific.
02:33Not only that, we also have confirmation as to how long the extended look will be.
02:37As you can see, the Netflix app updated, and it is going to be 26 minutes long.
02:42That is a lot of time to pack in a ton of detail for GTA 6,
02:47and I'm super excited to see what Rockstar has planned and what they intend to show us,
02:51because that is almost 30 minutes long of GTA 6 exclusive content.
02:55Not only that, Rockstar also confirmed that once this debuts on Netflix,
02:59creators can share their reaction content across social and video platforms.
03:03They then provided a quick clarification confirming that creators can actually
03:07live stream the extended look, provided they don't just simply re-stream or repost it
03:12without providing some context or commentary.
03:15Now, the final thing to call out here is that it is confirmed that this new extended look
03:20is going to be captured entirely from in-game footage on the PlayStation 5.
03:24So, this is obviously a huge day for GTA fans,
03:28and I'm super excited to see what Rockstar has planned for us
03:31for the new Netflix extended reveal trailer.
