00:00295 for 7. A man who will resume on 98. However, if there is one thing that Team India know
00:07how to do, that is dismiss the tale. Will the Spin Twins play a part today? Let's find out what's
00:13on the show.
00:13So much to look forward to today. Traditionally, what we've seen here in Hyderabad, day two is still a good
00:19pitch for batting. So, good morning to all of you. Good morning to Bish and Sunny for joining me as
00:24well.
00:24Alright, so you've got a situation. You've got the West Indies team right there. They're 295 for 7. When it
00:30comes to dismissing the tale, how often have we seen Sunny, Ashwin and Juddu bowling in tandem?
00:36We didn't see them in tandem too much yesterday. Does that need to be the game plan for Team India
00:40today?
00:40I asked him yesterday. In fact, how does he know how to play spinners in the subcontinent? He said, listen,
00:45I grew up in the Caribbean, first class cricket. I know how to play spinners.
00:49I know what to do in these conditions. So, what does the game plan against Rust and Chase need to
00:53be?
00:54Thank you very much, Akash. Now, both Sunny and Bish tell us that there are still good conditions to bat
00:59on. Let's find out what the pitch report for day two is.
01:03Thank you much there, gentlemen. You did mention Umesh Yadav. We got a hint of reverse yesterday.
01:08Welcome back. So, Umesh Yadav, bit of a lone warrior yesterday with Ajindri to Shardul Thakur, especially on these conditions
01:15that are still good to bat on. That's where you see most of his skill. Let's hear how he's gearing
01:19up for day two.
01:20This is to Ravi Chandranashvind. Thanks so much for joining us here. Lunchtime on Nerilac Cricket Life. Great crowd that
01:25is keeping us company along with Karthik that we wanted to see.
01:28Let's move on now to India's innings because it's been a contest for K.R. Rahul.
01:33Rajkot, he came. He's sure he conquered. Prithvi Shaw is pretty much doing the same thing here in Hyderabad.
01:39Just a similar approach. Technique rock solid even though he's aggressive.
01:43Much of a mental battle actually seeps into technique and that really is the dilemma. But look, we're here in
01:50Hyderabad.
01:51We know someone very, very special who has played on these conditions, who's born here. Everything that VVS Lakshman has
01:57done for Indian cricket is because of this city.
02:00He takes us on his tour diary. So, brilliant for us to hear all these stories. In fact, the day
02:06of VVS Lakshman continues with us here on Nerilac Cricket Life.
02:09At tea, we'll find out some locker room secrets at the moment. Thanks so much for staying with us.
02:14Now, we started the show talking about Umesh Yadav, how brilliantly he bowled with his best figures of 6 for
02:1988.
02:20So, what are the variations that a bowler needs? Let's get you a Baiju's masterclass from none other than Brett
02:27Lee.
02:27Thank you so much for that insight. Bhingasuni Gavaskar's talented batsman from...
02:32Someone do that was MS Dhoni. A wicket keeper do that in India was MS Dhoni. So, it has been
02:36a while now.
02:38Jinkia Rahane, who also needed a score like this, mind you. And Sir Jadeja, yet to come. Ashwin, yet to
02:44come.
02:44We started the day talking about them bowling in tandem. Perhaps we'll see them batting in tandem.
02:48Because what does Team India's plan need to be for tomorrow?
02:51So, you'll just want to bat only once. Now, tomorrow we will join you in the morning.
02:56It's been a very entertaining weekend start in the AM. So, really looking forward to that, aren't we?
03:01And also looking forward to the fact that perhaps Karthik will get me a topi.
03:05Do you need a topi?
03:06We will also like this because football fans, in 21 years we have not seen Team India play on China.
03:13That is international friendly. That is coming up right now.
03:16Right after this on the Star Sports Network, you can see Sunil Chaitri's Blue Tigers.
03:21They have travelled all the way. First time that they are playing China away from home.
03:25We will, in fact, see you tomorrow here on Nerd Electric Live. Good evening for now.
