00:00So after my mother came and got me, my father actually went on the run for two years. I think
00:05they found him in Michigan or Missouri. He was remarried, had another child. I went to live back
00:10with my mom in Natawash, Minnesota, which is on the White Earth Reservation. It was a really great
00:14community, but I never wanted to be around like kids my own age. So I was always hanging out with
00:19the older kids. And ultimately that's what led me into getting in at that early age of 10. And
00:26into my teens, I was really rebellious. Didn't want to stay home a lot. I was getting frustrated
00:31with being with a stepfather just because I didn't have trust in men. So it was really hard for me.
00:37I was dating a guy and we were together for, I want to say eight months before I found out
00:42I was
00:43pregnant. The father actually didn't make it for the birth. It was a really physically and verbally
00:49relationship that I ended up leaving when my daughter was one. Decided at 17 that I would
00:54share custody with my mother. We obtained joint custody for 10 years. We had joint custody.
01:00At the age of 17, I dropped out of school. At the age of 18, I got into very hard.
