00:00Where do you put Judge on the Yankee list of greats?
00:05I think Judge gets too much crap for the postseason stuff, all right?
00:09I do.
00:10That being said, you're not a Yankee great until you win.
00:14You're just not.
00:15You know, it's not fair.
00:17Babe Ruth, Mickey Mantle, Joe DiMaggio, Lou Gehrig,
00:19and that's just the older guys, right?
00:20We're not even talking about Derek Jeter, Mariano Rivera, you know,
00:23and I grew up in the 70s.
00:24I loved Greg Nettles, Thurman Munson, Reggie,
00:27and guys like that as well here.
00:28But his numbers will be right up there with any of them, no doubt.
00:32But until you win, it's a team thing.
00:36It's not all your fault here.
00:37I'm not putting it all on Judge.
00:38I do think he takes too much garbage for the postseason stuff.
00:41He's one guy of nine.
00:43They're pitching around him.
00:43They're not going to let him beat him.
00:44But you have to win to be considered one of the Yankee greats there.
00:48So until that comes there, it's not going to be him,
00:50and he'll never be on the Mount Rushmore of the Yankees.
00:53There's not enough room.
00:55Do you think that you will look at him years removed from now if he doesn't
01:00win a World Series as like a Dave Winfield?
01:03Just a truly great ball player that played there.
01:05Just really great.
01:06Remember what George called Dave Winfield?
01:09He called him Mr. May.
01:10So, I mean, you know, I would just love to know what Mr.
01:14Steinbrenner would think of who Aaron Judge is right now.
01:17But, again, do you think he'll be in that category with Dave Winfield,
01:22the almost great Yankees?
01:24Well, people forget about Dave Winfield, who was a great player, by the way.
01:27I swear to God, to this day, I went to a baseball game once at Yankee Stadium.
01:31Dave Winfield hit a shot with a shortstop, jumped for it, tried to catch it,
01:34and then went out and left center field at 431 on left center field.
01:37Wow.
01:38I swear, a shortstop jumped for that ball.
01:39I think he could catch it.
01:41You know, back then, there were no wild cards.
01:43Division winner, that's it.
01:44That's all that went to the playoffs there.
01:46Not really fair to Dave Winfield,
01:47and the Yankee teams weren't as good at the 83-84.
01:50All right, the Yankees won, I believe, the most games in the American League in the 80s,
01:53but only went to the playoffs twice, you know, in 81 and 83.
01:56So, I'm not going to get on Winfield.
01:57They didn't have the pitching back then.
01:59They were fun to watch because they were going to lose 10-8 every game,
02:01or win 9-7 every game here.
02:03But Winfield was great.
02:04Steinbrenner did take it out on him.
02:06The Howard Spear incident as well there, which got Steinbrenner suspended here.
02:09But it's a fair comparison, and I certainly get it.
02:13Winfield's a Hall of Famer.
02:14Judge is going to be a Hall of Famer, too.
02:16I hope he wins for his sake.
02:18You know, I think that will make him feel great.
02:19But like I said, I enjoy watching Aaron Judge.
02:21How are you?
02:21School of Famer.
02:21Defeat 후.
02:21Come one of them that you're going to need a good taste.
02:22Let's see if you did.
