01:30New York City, New York to bring you some hockey tonight between the New York Rangers and the Senators.
01:36An exciting matchup as we get ready for this game.
01:39Two of the game's best goaltenders will try and shut it down.
01:42And when they're this good, Bill, it's almost a one-on-one battle.
01:46I'm the only one guessing really low-scoring game.
01:48That's not a guess.
01:49It's going to be a fact.
01:51Here we are.
01:56New York for another one.
01:58Always enjoy coming to do a Rangers game.
02:00Believe it or not, the ice surface here is on the sixth floor of the building.
02:05Here's a chance.
02:07Off the post.
02:10Carries the puck deep into the middle.
02:15Good wrist shots.
02:16Suck!
02:42Picks that puck up in front of the net.
02:44That's in his own defensive end, dangerous land right there.
02:46He's got that one in the neutral zone on his way up ice.
02:49Great long pass.
03:01To Pruka.
03:05Save made.
03:06That's a scoring chance by the boards.
03:09Up the wing side.
03:10To Alfredson.
03:11On the charge.
03:11Three on two.
03:16Left wing side into the middle.
03:17That had a chance to go home.
03:19Good pad effort.
03:20Tremendous pass on the tape.
03:21And that one was airborne.
03:23Quick opportunity.
03:24Good save.
03:25He got in pretty close that time.
03:27But nowhere to go.
03:29That one's blistered on the snapshot.
03:33Good pass into the center ice area.
03:35All the way from the defensive zone.
03:37Heats on.
03:38Dangerous territory.
03:39The Rangers continuing to drive that puck into the slot area.
03:42There's another scoring chance.
03:44They're continuing to do the same thing offensively.
03:46But they've got to be laughing.
03:47When they hit the blue line, they're wide open in the middle.
03:59It's a cannonade.
04:07Great long pass from the defensive zone to center ice.
04:10Shot.
04:10Somebody's got a black and blue on that one.
04:12Picked it up off the body and it goes wide.
04:14Got that one covered.
04:15He'll get a whistle and a face off.
04:29Over nine minutes gone in the first.
04:31The Rangers doing everything but scoring.
04:34Look at the shots they put on in this game.
04:35Still no score.
04:37Pass up the wing.
04:38Here's an offensive chance.
04:40Three on two.
04:42Got to stick on that one at the point.
04:44Quick shot.
04:45That one's going to hit somebody on the way through
04:47and not going to make it to the net.
04:48That'll be gloved.
05:09That one's going to hit somebody on the way through
05:26We'll get a whistle here offside.
05:29New York Ranger players both of old and today
05:31have found that playing in the city can be great
05:34or if you're not winning, look out.
05:36I think that's fair though.
05:37I mean, the fans expect a solid effort.
05:39They expect some wins.
05:41When you give them that, they're okay.
05:42When you don't, they're not okay.
05:44I don't see a problem with that.
05:46The Rangers' efforts once they get into the zone
05:48has been to carry that puck into the slot area
05:50but I think it doesn't do something else.
05:52They have to because, listen, defensively
05:54these guys are protecting the most dangerous part
05:57of the ice for them and that is the slot.
05:59They've taken it away and the offensive team's got to withdraw.
06:02Look at a smoke behind that one.
06:04Grabs out in the slot.
06:05That one gets blocked.
06:06Not sure who it hit.
06:14Goaltender back in behind the net.
06:16Stick handles.
06:16Under pressure back in that defensive zone.
06:19At the point.
06:20He'll grab that and take charge of it.
06:22Knocked away with a stick.
06:23Another great save made and a great scoring opportunity.
06:28Oh, got right on that one in a hurry.
06:30Big chance down low.
06:33Great play right there.
06:34Great hands as he got it out of the zone
06:36and into the center ice area.
06:41He got a rocket out of that one.
06:43Got to be careful there in front of his own net.
06:45Picks the puck up cleanly.
06:46That is a tough pass to make.
06:48Got that one airbound and put it right on the tape.
06:50Great effort by the goaltender.
06:52Big save.
06:55Into the offensive zone.
06:57Three on two.
06:58Great save made.
06:59That is a goal denied.
07:00Oh, this is a nice save,
07:02but the odds really were in the goaltender's favor.
07:04When you got a sniper coming down at you,
07:06you know that he's going to think shot first
07:08before he thinks pass.
07:21Up the gut to Heatley.
07:25And up and down the ice they went.
07:27First period's over.
07:29The Rangers going to look up and wonder why.
07:31Boy, they had chances in that period to score.
07:33They just did not get it done.
07:37And we move on.
07:39Underway here in the second period.
07:41Goal got that shot off in a hurry.
07:43Got a great scoring chance.
07:45On the tape on an aerial to Spetson.
07:47Big snap.
07:48Pass for Ritis.
07:50Receives that one as he heads up the wing side.
07:53Picks that puck up at the point.
07:55Great scoring chance.
07:56Takes that puck to the middle.
07:57He'll control that puck in front of his own net.
08:00Beautiful long pass through the defensive zone into the neutralized area.
08:03Should have had that one and he didn't get it.
08:08Loose puck defensive zone.
08:10Good poke shot.
08:13Malik.
08:15Through center.
08:16Long pass to Strzaka.
08:20Scoring opportunity.
08:21Quick chance.
08:22Makes the move in the offensive zone.
08:23He's got it way wide of the net on that shot.
08:26Someone's got to question why you take a shot from there.
08:31To Rosovol.
08:32Nice quick snap.
08:33Good pick up on the puck in front of the net.
08:35Good pass.
08:36That's going to send him.
08:37Came out of the defensive end.
08:38Big time wrist shot.
08:40Drury.
08:42Up the middle.
08:43Through center to Strzaka.
08:45Down deep.
08:46He's got the puck.
08:47With that whistle.
08:48A face off.
08:48He covered it up.
09:03Over seven minutes gone in the second.
09:06The Rangers heavily outshooting the opposition in this game.
09:09But it has not gotten them the goals they need.
09:11Fix that puck up in his offensive zone.
09:14Shot gets blocked.
09:15The Rangers in zone offense has been to get that puck in.
09:18Take it into the slot area.
09:20But it's still a struggle.
09:21Well, there's struggle and then there's utility.
09:24I mean, nothing's happening in the slot.
09:33Good coverage.
09:34He's got to move this puck.
09:36Alfredson.
09:43Tremendous shot.
09:44And that's from a scoring chance area.
09:47His effort tonight has been to keep the puck out.
09:49And during that last series, he looked great.
09:52Hey, the essence of playing goal is just weathering each storm as it comes your way.
09:56And right now, he's doing it.
10:03In the defensive zone.
10:05Finds that in front of his own net.
10:12Phillips.
10:14Up the wing he comes.
10:15Good pass.
10:16To Spencer.
10:17Offensive opportunity.
10:18Three on two.
10:19And he fires that one wide of the net.
10:21Great opportunity by the boards.
10:23Oh, I love how Danny Healy just winds up and lets them rip.
10:26Nothing on that one.
10:27He will shoot again, given the opportunity.
10:30The Senator skaters create another chance again in that slot area.
10:33And again, they're finding a way to bring that puck in close.
10:37Yeah, well, defensively, though, you've got to connect the dots.
10:40Protect the middle first.
10:41That's how you stop it.
10:47He's got that one in the neutral zone on his way up ice.
10:50Great long pass.
10:51Good move by the goaltender using that leg.
10:54Emery's star status in this game between the pipes has made the difference.
10:58Now, if someone can just score one.
10:59Gary, he's been really good.
11:01How bad do you think he wants to see one of his guys score at the other end?
11:03I'm saying really bad.
11:06Good pass into the center ice area all the way from the defensive zone.
11:10Strudley.
11:13The Marcel host.
11:14Offensive rush.
11:15Three on two.
11:16Great chance.
11:17Hurried it up.
11:18Nice pad save.
11:19That's a good chance.
11:21Left side.
11:21Down the middle.
11:22On the charge.
11:23Three on two.
11:23Big wrist shot.
11:24Good point blank save.
11:26Good point blank save.
11:27Good point blank save.
11:28Good point blank save.
11:29Good dog.
11:32Tillis.
11:36Be careful.
11:37He's got to move that.
11:40Nice save with a pad.
11:41That looks like it might go through.
11:44Great long pass from the defensive zone to center ice.
11:47And they caught him offside.
11:49We'll get a whistle here.
12:02Strunk up.
12:03Heads up.
12:03Heads up.
12:04Good blocker save on the deflection.
12:06That's an opportunity.
12:07Great play right there.
12:09Great hands as he got it out of the zone and into the center ice area.
12:13And that's the end of the second period.
12:15Good defensive game continues here.
12:17No score at the end of two.
12:19No score at the end of two.
12:23No score at the end of two.
12:29Good pick with a glove and a scoring chance at the point.
12:32Good wrist shot.
12:33Takes a shot.
12:35Cut the puck down low.
12:36That'll be a face off.
12:38He's got that one covered.
12:39Good play.
12:40Oh there was a ton of pressure around this goaltender.
12:42Smart play.
12:43Freeze it.
12:44Take the face off.
12:48Shanahan.
12:51Here's an offensive chance.
12:52Three on two.
12:57Nice save with a blocker.
12:59That's getting pretty close to goal territory.
13:01Beautiful long pass through the defensive zone into the neutral ice area.
13:09And they're into the zone.
13:10Two on one.
13:11Quick opportunity.
13:12Big time chance.
13:14Not going to make it to the net.
13:16That one bounces off somebody.
13:17Carries that puck into a high offensive scoring area.
13:20Pass that puck under control in his offensive zone.
13:22That one's blistered on the snap shot.
13:26Receives that puck back on the point from down low.
13:29Blocker deflection right there.
13:30That's a good chance.
13:32Good pass.
13:33That's going to send.
13:33He came out of the defensive end.
13:35Quick shot.
13:36And he didn't bury it.
13:37He'll handle that one in his own offensive end.
13:40Oh got rid of that one in a hurry.
13:57That one bounces off a body and won't make it to the goal.
14:01He's got that one in the neutral zone on his way up ice.
14:03Great long pass.
14:07And the first goal to be scored in this game.
14:10Ottawa's goal.
14:11It was a tough one to get.
14:12They get it here in the third.
14:14Well sometimes that first goal, even if it's in the third, will open up the floodgates.
14:18You watch.
14:19One goal is not going to win this.
14:20Spencer.
14:22To Heatley.
14:23He picked up a pivotal goal in this period.
14:25It has given that team a one-goal lead.
14:38Two on two on the rush.
14:41Bounces away.
14:42Picks that puck up in front of the net.
14:44That's in his own defensive end.
14:46Dangerous land right there.
14:47Drury.
14:48Takes that one up the wing.
14:50Into the offensive zone.
14:51Three on two.
14:52Big snap.
14:53Nice stick save and a scoring chance.
14:55The Rangers, unsuccessful, generating a scoring chance there.
14:59You know they had some luck with that earlier, but not anymore.
15:01Gary was kind of a one-trick pony.
15:03Now it's their turn to the cut.
15:05Up and over, ladies and gentlemen.
15:07That puck ended up over the glass in the crowd.
15:09We'll get a whistle there.
15:14Good play to move that puck up the wing side.
15:17Ridden.
15:22What a chance to score.
15:23He hit the crossbar.
15:24Oh, and he was that close to finishing it off.
15:27He just got a little too much air under it and got the crossbar.
15:35Return pass to head off ice.
15:36Got it on the tape.
15:38With heat on, he picks that one up in front of his own net.
15:41Good pass into the center ice area all the way from the defensive zone.
15:45Scoring opportunity denied.
15:46Nice use of the pads.
15:47Whistle faceoff.
15:48Had it covered.
15:50A lot of shots.
15:51A lot of chances here in this period.
15:52The score could be a lot worse.
15:54Gary, perfection really would have been difficult.
15:56Some of the shots have been unstoppable.
15:58Pads save and a great opportunity to Stratko.
16:06Picks that one up in behind his own net.
16:08Jagger.
16:13Scoring opportunity.
16:14Quick jam.
16:15Got to get rid of that puck in that end.
16:19And there's a stoppage in play.
16:22That's going to be whistled on the offside.
16:30And with that whistle, an offside faceoff coming up.
16:46He gets the whistle and the draw.
16:49Goaltender's got that one underneath him somewhere.
16:57Pass from down low.
16:58He's got it on the point.
17:02Save made.
17:03There's a great scoring opportunity.
17:05He got where he wanted to be.
17:07Better save.
17:08Gets that one on the tape in his own offensive zone.
17:10Chance wanted more on that one from that area.
17:14Off the block.
17:14Big pickup in the offensive end.
17:16Good play.
17:17Goaltender gets it covered.
17:18Will get a draw.
17:20No, this is a smart play by the goaltender.
17:22He was in the eye of the hurricane.
17:23Nice move to get a stoppage of play.
17:26Good job with the D on the draw.
17:30To Heatley.
17:32Here they come.
17:33Three on one chance.
17:34Nice quick snap.
17:36Whist on that one.
17:37Had a good chance in that area.
17:39Offensive opportunity.
17:40Three on two.
17:42Picked away with a blocker.
17:43Good scoring opportunity right there.
17:49Got a hurry.
17:50Clock ticking down.
17:51One last chance.
17:54Aspiritis.
17:56To Drury.
18:00Big time wrist shot.
18:01Bouncing puck off a body on the way through.
18:04Great chance.
18:04Hurried it up.
18:05Can't save that one.
18:06That goal marked all over.
18:07Good effort there.
18:08He's got that one covered.
18:09Face off coming.
18:10Well, this is just a matter of the goaltender wanting to slow things down a little bit.
18:21Great time to come away with a defensive zone win off that faceoff.
18:25It's over.
18:26The Rangers' time of possession in this game favorable, but not the end result.
18:30Well, they had enough puck position, Gary.
18:50The Rangers' time of possession in this game favorable, but not the end result.
18:51The Rangers' time of possession in this game favorable, but not the end result.
18:52The Rangers' time of possession in this game favorable, but not the end result.

20:15Wide of the net as that one hits somebody in front
20:18Great play right there
20:19Great hands as he got it out of the zone and into the center ice area
20:23Down low he goes
20:24Good scoring chance
20:25Chance
20:26Be careful he's got to move that
20:29To Hossa
20:30Two on two the other way
20:36Good wrist jump
20:37Oh that is a mean save on a scoring chance
20:42He shoots he scores
20:44And they jump to the early lead
20:52With that last goal the home team has taken advantage of that home ice early on
20:57And they're up
20:57And I'll tell you what that does

21:00The Marion Hoss

21:24And that was a scoring chance
21:34Beautiful long pass through the defensive zone
21:36Into the neutralizer
21:37Takes the shot
21:38Has that puck down low
21:42And they intercept that one out of their own defensive zone
21:45And with that whistle an offside faceoff coming up
21:49Here in Atlanta where hockey's starting to take a foothold
21:52And the reason for that is this club has started to win
21:54It's really been rebuilt
21:55I mean I remember because I played there
21:57When the Flames played in Atlanta
21:59Now there's a whole new fan base
22:00And a whole new enthusiasm for the NHL
22:03Good glove save
22:04That shooter had a chance
22:05Takes a shot
22:05Gotta be careful there in front of his own
22:07That picks the puck up cleanly
22:09Will get a whistle here offside
22:21To Kovalchuk
22:27Tremendous pass on the tape
22:28And that one was airborne
22:31Kovalchuk got that shot off in a hurry
22:33Glove save
22:34He'll control that puck in front of his own net
22:37Kovalchuk
22:42Big time save with that stick
22:43Down deep he's got the puck
22:44Big snap

22:48Gotta get rid of that puck in that end
22:53Oh got rid of that one in a hurry
22:55Here's a chance
22:56Draw coming
22:57Nice play on an opportunity there
22:59We got a faceoff
22:59Well this game is about split second decisions
23:02And the goaltender I think made a smart one
23:04Get the pressure off by freezing it
23:06And getting the faceoff
23:10Marion Holson
23:14Two hole lead
23:17Nice quick snap
23:19That goes into the seats
23:21But not before it hit some heavy metal
23:23And that had beaten the goaltender
23:24Heading to the conclusion of the first period
23:26Hose has still got the only marker
23:28It's won nothing
23:34He's got that one in the neutral zone
23:35On his way up ice
23:36Great long pass
23:38Great chance
23:38It's hurried it up
23:40Kovalchuk
23:42To Hose
23:43And they're into the zone
23:44Two on one

23:52That's a good angle shot
23:54Nice save with a pad
23:57Picks that one up in front of his own net
23:58Pretty good defensive pressure right there
24:01Blistled faceoff
24:02Had it covered
24:12Up the wing to Marion Holson
24:16There's the shot
24:17Pretty good chance right there
24:18And a nice blocker save
24:21And that's as entertaining a first 20 as you're gonna see
24:24Man they were flying
24:25Atlanta's effort in that first period
24:27Gives them that one nothing lead
24:29There weren't a lot of chances
24:30For either team in that first
24:33Great to have you with us everybody
24:34As we get underway here in the second period
24:38And there's a stoppage in play
24:40That's gonna be whistled on the offside
24:51Good coverage
24:52He's gotta move this puck
24:53Hang on
24:54We've got a delayed penalty coming up
24:57Malik's got the whistle
24:58Two minutes elbowing
25:00The thrashers power play unit
25:02This is their first chance of the game
25:04And it comes when they've got a chance
25:05To extend that lead
25:12That one over the top of the net
25:14I think that's still flying
25:15Man did he get a ton of that
25:18Brought in on the offside
25:26Into the middle to Drury
25:27Brings that puck into the offensive zone
25:29Has that one back in their own end
25:31They'll regroup for another rush
25:33Great long pass from the defensive zone
25:35To center ice
25:36Shittin' it
25:38Long pass up to the middle to Hosa
25:40He'll take charge right
25:42Score!
25:43And a goal with the advantage
25:45Put it under power play
25:46Well there's the offense that they wanted
25:48With that last goal
25:49They have stretched this lead
25:51But there's still a lot of time left
25:52And I think that's the enemy
25:53Sometimes you can go soft with a big lead
25:56If you get it too early
25:57Big time wrist shot
25:58That one went wide
25:59Oh close call for Yager
26:01Who's not afraid to shoot
26:02Yeah he'll pass it off sometimes
26:04But always a threat to get it off
26:06And it is a lightning quick release
26:08He wired that one into the offensive zone
26:11Kasparitis
26:11The Rangers
26:13Skaters getting into that zone
26:14And carrying the puck into the slot area
26:16I don't know why they're still doing it
26:18Me either
26:19I mean it was
26:20But figure it out
26:21That's a while ago now
26:32You see, you see
26:33Where I got it
26:35Scoring opportunity
26:36Quick chance
26:36Big chance down low
26:39Quick shot
26:40Kicks that one out with the pad
26:41Gets that one on the tape
26:42In his own offensive zone
26:44Pucks under there somewhere
26:46Everybody involved
26:46Trying to free that up
26:47To Kovalchuk
26:48Big goal in this period
26:50It put his team up by two
26:52Rifles that one
26:52And what a great place
26:53To shoot it from
26:55And that puck is gone
26:57Out of play over the glass
26:58We'll get a stoppage
27:03Return back to Drury
27:08Nice blocker save
27:09And a good scoring chance
27:102-0-8
27:11Through center ice
27:12They come
27:13That one on the tape
27:13As he heads up ice
27:16Bad save
27:17Good effort
27:18That was a great scoring opportunity
27:20Offensive rush
27:21Three on two
27:23Good opportunity
27:24Blocker deflection right there
27:25That's a good chance
27:28Good pass into the center ice area
27:30All the way from the defensive zone
27:59All the way from the defensive zone
28:02All the way from the defensive zone
28:03All the way from the defensive zone
28:08All the way from the defensive zone
28:22All the way from the defensive zone
28:24All the way from the defensive zone
28:25All the way from the defensive zone
28:25All the way from the defensive zone
28:25All the way from the defensive zone
28:25All the way from the defensive zone
28:25All the way from the defensive zone
28:25All the way from the defensive zone
28:25All the way from the defensive zone
28:25All the way from the defensive zone
28:34Two on two on the rush.
28:37Good wrist shot.
28:38One of those goes through and you've got an easy goal.
28:40He's not going to let that happen.
28:42Posa.
28:45Posa got that shot off in a hurry.
28:48Great pass.
28:49There you see hands at work.
28:51That one was in the air.
28:54Big snap.
28:56Bangs that one away.
28:57That one had a chance.
28:58Pokes that away.
28:59Long reach.
29:00Breaks it up in the defensive zone.
29:01Pass that puck under control in his offensive zone.
29:04Grabs that in the slot.
29:06Oh, got rid of that one in a hurry.
29:08He's got it in the slot.
29:11On the charge.
29:12Three on two.
29:13Nice quick snap.
29:14Nice save with the blocker.
29:16That's getting pretty close to goal territory.
29:18Great play right there.
29:20Great hands as he got it out of the zone and into the center ice area.
29:23Scoring opportunity.
29:24Good pass.
29:24That's going to send him.
29:26Came out of the defensive end.
29:30Puck at the point.
29:31He's got it on his stick.
29:32Not going to make it to the net.
29:33That one bounces off somebody.
29:35Jager.
29:36Pass up the wing.
29:38Offensive opportunity.
29:39Three on two.
29:41Big time poke check.
29:42Be careful here.
29:43Handles that in front of his own net with pressure.
29:45Beautiful long pass through the defensive zone into the neutralized area.
29:48Handles that one at the point.
29:50And cleanly.
29:53Stick save and a few.
29:57Chance.
29:57And he held on to it.
29:59Big time effort.
30:01This has been a good period for the opposition offensively.
30:04You look at the goaltending work here, Bill.
30:06He's done a decent job.
30:07Well, sometimes what a goalie's supposed to do is just keep his team in the game.
30:11He has at least done that.
30:13Second period comes to an end.
30:15Good play at both ends of the ice.
30:17Good entertainment by both of these clubs.
30:202-0 at the end of two.
30:31Can these two teams get this game decided here?
30:34We're going to find out.
30:35Third period action, everybody.
30:37The Marion Hulse.
30:38Here's an offensive chance.
30:39Three on two.
30:40Big save.
30:41Great chance.
30:42Oh, this is a nice save.
30:43But look, he's got a sniper coming down on him.
30:45He had to figure the guy was going to shoot.
30:47Well, if he was guessing, he sure guessed right.
30:50Score!
30:56Important thing about that last goal is the timing of it.
30:59Even though they're still down, there's a long way to go here.
31:01And any way you look at it, we've got a game here.
31:04Two on two the other way.
31:06Under pressure back in that defensive zone.
31:10Kiyagur.
31:11Lead cut to one, and he did it with a goal in this period.
31:13Save made.
31:14And there's a guy who can put the puck in the net.
31:16Denied.
31:17Two on eight.
31:18Into the offensive zone.
31:19Three on two.
31:20Outstanding save made.
31:21There's a black and blue effort made by a guy who doesn't get many.
31:26Picks that puck up in his offensive zone.
31:31Good play to get that puck back.
31:33Interception in the defensive zone.
31:35Takes that puck into the neutral zone, up through the middle.
31:37He got the lumber on it and knocked it away.
31:42Lindley handles the puck in his offensive end.
31:44Great chance.
31:45Hurried it up.
31:46Save.
31:49Up the wing side to Kovalchuk.
31:51Offensive rush.
31:52Three on two.
31:53That one's blistered on the snap shot.
31:59Put the puck down low.
32:03And he got it out of there.
32:05That's going to go the length of the ice in the clearing attempt.
32:07Over, over.
32:09Great scoring area, but did not get anything on the shot.
32:15To Strakow.
32:17Strakow.
32:18On the charge.
32:19Three on two.
32:20Big wrist shot.
32:21Chalked that one up as a scoring chance.
32:22Nice save with the blocker.
32:24The Rangers.
32:25The Rangers scores are finding a way to get that puck into the slot, getting shots, and it's just continuous.
32:29But they've got to be laughing.
32:30When they hit the blue line, they're wide open in the middle.
32:33Hey, man on you.
32:35Defenseman hanging off.
32:36Shot scores.
32:38And that'll tie it.
32:41The Rangers snipers hope that's going to be the one of many to be scored here in the remainder of
32:45this third period.
32:46Snipers are ready to go as long as the checkers are ready to check.
32:49These guys are in good shape.
32:52Big time wrist shot.
32:56Needed to get that puck out of there, and he did.
32:58He's cleared it the length of the ice.
33:01Receives that one as he heads up the wing side.
33:05Shittnick, that puck right now, just being jammed up against the board.
33:09Scoring opportunity.
33:10Quick jam.
33:15Quick shot.
33:16Great scoring position, and a save made.
33:18With that whistle, a faceoff.
33:19He covered it up.
33:28Over five minutes remaining.
33:30We're in the third.
33:31Drury's goal.
33:32Good enough to tie this one up.
33:36And he hangs on.
33:37We'll get a faceoff here.
33:48Quick opportunity.
33:49Shot gets blocked.
33:51Good chance.
33:52Scores.
33:53And that's his second of the night.
33:56The Rangers had just one time running out.
33:59The only enemy now for these guys, mistakes.
34:01Dump the puck in.
34:02Don't turn it over in the neutral zone.
34:04Oh, got that shot off in a hurry.
34:15And that'll end the scoring threat.
34:17They take that one in the defensive zone.
34:20Offensive opportunity.
34:21Three on two.
34:22Fix that.
34:23Scoring opportunity denied.
34:25Nice use of the pass.
34:26The Thrashers offense is very tough to judge in this game.
34:30If you're looking at it defensively, you're not quite sure which is coming down ice.
34:34Gary, they have brought their full bag of tricks.
34:37I mean, every rush looks like a different team.
34:49He's got that one in the neutral zone on his way up ice.
34:52Great long pass.
34:53Fake scoring chance off the crossbar.
34:56Oh, this is just wrong.
34:58I mean, it was a great move.
35:00He had the goalie beat.
35:01The only thing in his way was the crossbar.
35:03And the crossbar beat him.
35:07Heats on.
35:08Dangerous territory.
35:11To Hosa.
35:12Here's an offensive chance.
35:14Three on two.
35:15Good play to free that puck up in the offensive zone on that hit.
35:19Two on two.
35:19The other one.
35:20Scores!
35:22And into the empty net it goes.
35:24New York Rangers lead is now two.
35:26And time's running up.
35:27Gary, I love this.
35:28They could have sat back and maybe roved the dope their way to a one-goal win.
35:31Not these guys.
35:32They went after it.
35:35Oh, got rid of that one in a hurry.
35:36One last rush down the period.
35:38He's up ice.
35:39Nice pass.
35:39Head man's.
35:40That one up the wing.
35:41Into the offensive zone.
35:42Oh, what a shot!
35:43Scores!
35:45And there's the empty net goal.
35:53Close game.
35:53Tried to win.
35:54That'll just about take care of it.
35:55Yeah, their only hope was that that shot at the empty cage went wide.
35:59Drury.
36:00Big time shot.
36:01Oh, what a neutral zone impact.
36:03I spelled that one up here.
36:05Retard pass.
36:06We'll send him into the offensive end.
36:07Save that one straight on.
36:09With Heed on.
36:09He picks that one up in front of his own net.
36:11Takes that pass.
36:12Middle of the ice.
36:13Long pass.
36:15Takes the shot.
36:17It's over.
36:18Atlanta's defense will pay the price for the goals given up the end.
36:21Agreed, Gary.
36:22They didn't lose this game in the last minute or two of the third period.
36:25They lost it throughout the first 58 minutes of the game.
36:31And that's going to do it.
36:32I'm Gary Thorne.
36:33Thanks, everybody.
36:34On behalf of Bill Clement and all of our crew, we bid you good night.
36:43Have a good night.
