01:30I believe the key to this game is who stays to their game plan will win this game.
01:49Good pass up that wing.
01:52On side.
01:55Right from the slot.
01:58Pointed to Hunwick.
02:00Cranks a shot.
02:01Great point blank save.
02:03A quick developing play right in front.
02:05Almost looks like he's too close to the goaltender.
02:08A little over three minutes have passed.
02:11Still knotted at zeros.
02:14Toronto's got that win.
02:16Ripper.
02:17Oh, a close call there.
02:26Good clean win.
02:28Shoots one.
02:29That hits somebody.
02:33Wanting to generate something up the wing.
02:35Hit by the stick.
02:36That's just good fundamental defense.
02:39Gets in and he'll look over his options.
02:43Florida's continuing on in the defensive zone.
02:45Snapping a pass to Brickley.
02:48Chip paddled aside.
02:51Gets play stopped.
03:08The Leafs have moved to the neutral zone.
03:12Moved along and in.
03:15Let's a shot go.
03:17Wonderful save.
03:21And at an angle, the Carrick.
03:23Score!
03:24And the game is even.
03:38You get to this high scoring area.
03:41A wrist shot is a great choice.
03:43Barra's trying to cover the bottom of the net.
03:45But the puck beats him anyway.
03:47The Panthers get it off the faceoff.
03:50That pass tipped away by the opposition.
03:54The Maple Leafs continue to probe up the wing.
03:58Heads on behind.
04:01Back on his stick.
04:02Didn't miss by much.
04:05You have to give yourself a chance.
04:07That puck cannot miss the net like that.
04:10Gets in.
04:11Looks over his options here.
04:13Pass.
04:14It's caught strong play.
04:18He's in.
04:19Wonderful save.
04:20Wonderful chance to score, but no.
04:23Boy, he really had to battle through to see that screenshot.
04:26Pitching it to Sevier.
04:30The Panthers wheel it up the wing.
04:48Corral by Yandos.
04:52Thrown in.
04:54Dogged determination there by Hunwick.
04:58Cranks one.
04:59Just couldn't find the target.
05:02The Maple Leafs look to make a difference up the wing.
05:06Slides it to the point.
05:08Tipped away.
05:11Picked up by Demers.
05:14Just threw it into his pad there.
05:18That shot hit a man.
05:20Hit the puck with the shot.
05:23Passing one off now.
05:24Debarcoff.
05:26And he's still got that puck up the wing.
05:32The Leafs have it through the neutral zone.
05:36Gives it over to the point.
05:38Puck loose.
05:38Couldn't get through.
05:50First period done.
05:51Two goals scored.
05:52One aside.
06:07Pitching this one to Pukestad.
06:11Up the wing.
06:12Holding on to it well.
06:13Laid on to Pukestad.
06:16Got in the way of that one.
06:19Not a long pass, but effective.
06:20He's got it.
06:22Oh, what a play.
06:25Long lead pass to Trochak.
06:28Let's it go.
06:29Booted aside.
06:31Carried from the defensive zone.
06:35Huck taken hold up by Hunwick.
06:38Looking for options up the wing.
06:41Fires.
06:43You can...
06:43Oh, he scores!
06:45Two straight goals.
06:57He's got a nose for the net.
06:59And especially scoring goals off the rebound.
07:01Barra's got to do better than this.
07:03The initial shot, he handles, but he leaves the rebound sitting there.
07:07It's a juicy one.
07:08And the scorer makes no mistake on it.
07:10The Leafs have taken the lead by one.
07:13What fork in the road are we headed for with this faceoff?
07:18Florida's got it off the draw at center.
07:25Backhander to the net.
07:27Nearly grazed the iron on that.
07:28Moving it to Corrado.
07:31The Maple Leafs up the wing are moving the puck.
07:34Break away!
07:34Score!
07:36A rookie celebrates his first ever here in the preseason.
07:48He managed to find the back of the net on that one, Ray.
07:51Yes, it's just the preseason.
07:52But he's going to remember this date as the day he proved to himself
07:55and everybody else that he can play at this level.
08:02Toronto's goal gives them a lead by two.
08:04Raises a question two here in the second period.
08:07Do they start to play it a little conservative?
08:09Or do they go at him and try and make this three right away?
08:18Trying to go to Barkov.
08:22Gains the zone.
08:24Oh, what a break.
08:25That shot hit somebody.
08:27Off his pad.
08:31The Leafs have control of the puck in the defensive zone.
08:36Looks from the corner.
08:38Let's it go.
08:39Didn't get through.
08:40And that one turned aside.
08:44Takes a perfect pass.
08:45Boy, that's what your wings are for.
08:47They give it to you right in the center.
08:49And possession has changed.
08:52Brilliant move on that pass.
08:55Wonderful chance was set up.
08:57Oh, and the pass just goes wide.
08:59Oh, deflected away.
09:02Lugged ahead from the defensive zone.
09:05He throws it there.
09:07Oh, and he missed the net.
09:09You have to give yourself a chance here.
09:11You cannot blow this puck past the net.
09:19Pass attempt to throw check.
09:21Pass attempt to throw check.
09:21Took that pass right up the wing.
09:25Fires.
09:25Pass.
09:28The Maple Leafs are moving the puck in neutral ice.
09:33Knapp by Bukestad.
09:38Knapp by Bukestad.
09:38To throw check.
09:40Propelled to Bukestad.
09:42It's a point hammer shot.
09:48The Maple Leafs in possession as they travel through center ice.
09:52And now it's directed to Polak.
09:57Pass ahead.
09:58He's nudged off by the defense.
10:00Barra's able to handle this one.
10:03Florida's in their own end continuing on.
10:05Puck is thrown to Bukestad.
10:08From the outside.
10:10Got a piece of that one.
10:12And he'll hold on.
10:19I don't know if he's going to make a save much easier than that one.
10:22He's in good position.
10:23It's a rather routine stop.
10:30Let's go, Denver!
10:37That's two periods in the books.
10:40One more to go.
10:41But a rest comes first.
10:43Alright, time to turn to the shot's own goal and look at some impressive totals.
10:4823 for Toronto and 17 for the Panthers.
10:54Toronto's lead has been enlarged.
10:56As we go to break, take a look at this.
10:59The goal that did it.
11:05Two periods played.
11:07One period ahead.
11:08What are your thoughts so far, Eddie?
11:10The Panthers are down on the scoreboard, Doc.
11:13And they know they have a real hot goaltender at the other end.
11:15Pretty simple formula.
11:17More people.
11:18More pucks to the net.
11:19Eventually you might get a bounce.
11:21And you'll be right back in this game.
11:22A shot.
11:24Outstanding save.
11:25What magic to even get the shot away.
11:27But not often you're all alone in front of the goaltender from this area of the ice.
11:31Great save.
11:33Toronto's leaving the defensive zone.
11:35Gets in.
11:36What'll he do?
11:37Big chance here.
11:38Score!
11:40He's got his second.
11:52He had people chasing him down on a breakaway, but he found a way to score.
11:56I think when he takes a look at this on video, he's going to see he was in really good
11:59position.
12:00And he just wasn't able to stop a perfect shot.
12:05Goalie to the bench.
12:06Substitution made.
12:18Toronto's goal has staked them to an even larger lead on a night that they have had the offense going.
12:26Third period of play.
12:29To McKenzie.
12:33Decides he wants the corner.
12:35On the outside, a shot.
12:38Has it back deep.
12:41The Leafs looking to head man up the wing.
12:44On to Horton.
12:46Lightning in that glove.
12:54And it's a good pickup.
13:04Looking to Seabier.
13:06Nicely into the zone.
13:09Gathered in by McKenzie.
13:12Pass cut.
13:16Hoisted wide to Horton.
13:19Directing that one to McKenzie.
13:21Big drive.
13:22Oh, that one hit someone on the way.
13:26And he gains the zone.
13:29Slid the Brickley.
13:31Flings it.
13:32That's turned aside.
13:36Toronto's moving the puck in their own end.
13:40Pressing on with it up the wing.
13:42Takes that pass that was just slipped ahead to him.
13:46Just got his pad on that one.
13:50And the loose puck gathered in by Demers.
13:55Florida's in possession as they move up the wing.
13:58Chip the Brickley.
14:00Shot didn't have a lot on it, did it?
14:02He covers and holds on.
14:09Routine stop for the goaltender.
14:11The shooter's going to have to do a much better job challenging him.
14:23Good clean win on the draw.
14:25Oh, what a break.
14:27Shot hit the man.
14:29The Leafs in possession through center.
14:32Back near the blue line, to Holland.
14:35And quickly to Hunwick.
14:38To Greening.
14:40Can't get it on net.
14:41Here's one of those times where you look at the net and there's nothing there.
14:45That's where you just got to shoot for the center of the net.
14:56Laid on to Gardner.
15:02Into the end of attack.
15:04Knocks it away with the stick.
15:07Oh, what a stop.
15:08After that outstanding stop, that's got to give his team a big lift.
15:12Fires.
15:12Got a piece of it.
15:14He scores.
15:15Second of the game.
15:16What a performance.
15:29Back-to-back chances in the low slot.
15:31And he scored on the second one.
15:33Really good positioning.
15:34He's in the butterfly where he's got most of the net covered.
15:36But there's obviously a hole in the pucks behind him.
15:42Face-off win.
15:43And now what will they do with it?
15:46Let's hit go.
15:47Missed on the shot.
15:51Glides across.
15:53Off target.
15:55Got it in his own end.
15:58Propelled, Deceivier.
16:01Gains the zone.
16:03Shoots.
16:03Oh, what a save that was.
16:12Looking for options through the neutral zone.
16:15Flop back in.
16:16And it's time for another line change.
16:18Snapping a pass to Bozak.
16:21On to Hunwick.
16:24Slid to Van Riemsdyk.
16:33And rip to Seidenberg.
16:35That hit somebody.
16:36That's a good pad save.
16:40Chipped.
16:41Oh, stick save.
16:44Toronto's carrying it up the wing.
16:46Nicely into the zone.
16:49Hammers one.
16:53And he gains the zone.
17:02And that's the end of the game.
17:05Two teams battled pretty hard.
17:07Florida's got a loss.
17:09This game was over a long time ago.
17:12Very disappointing effort.
17:20This game was over a long time ago.
