00:09Mood was free and this is back when mixtapes was just everything and if I would have had the
00:13opportunity to put it out for sale, you know, back then, then I would have, but I couldn't.
00:19So with that being said, I'm like, okay, I gotta wait till the perfect time to drop Mood too.
00:25And it just so happened now that when I was able to get Mood 1 out on streaming platforms
00:30that Mood 2 date was just right behind it. So I think it was just time and it made sense.
00:34And of course it's the 10 year anniversary of 2026. So I'm glad that all the fans could have
00:39an opportunity to sit with Mood 1. Even, even if you didn't get to hear it on SoundCloud and all

00:45if you're a new fan now, you get to sit with Mood 1 to be ready for Mood 2. So

00:49you got a project that stayed down, like stayed in the mix for 10 years and not coming back with
00:53the second one. I think it kind of makes it more anticipated and makes it more of a thing
00:58that people want to listen to. I just was thankful for the artists that did come through for me.

01:23is I would say everything, honestly. I feel like everything that I put into the game, I got back
01:27out. The hard work, you know, I was, with all the hard work I put in, I was able to
01:32gain success.
01:34And I feel like all the time I put in wasn't wasted. What I wish I understood about the business
01:3910 years ago that would have changed how I moved, trying to be like two cool artists.
01:44You know what I'm saying? Like it really didn't serve no purpose. Some relationships do, but
01:49others would just be like, you know, probably 10 years ago, I'd probably be like, man, focus
01:52on your music, you know, go in the game and just do what you need to do and just keep

01:58head down, period. It's dope to do business with people you love, but always keep the business
02:02first, like handle the business. When you're doing a mixtape, it really ain't no business
02:06that's being handled. Like you literally, producers giving you beats, you're not paying for them.
02:12People coming up with, like y'all making music together, nothing is funded. You know what
02:17I'm saying? So it's like, with that being said, it's no business. Like all the business
02:23happens after the mixtape gained success and a record that come from it, like how B.E.D.
02:28came from Mood. And now we got to handle business. And honestly, when you drop an album, you have
02:32a budget. So honestly, that right there is what you have to go off of. Like, man, how can
02:36I be the best I can be, get everything I need to get out of this budget? Because when you
02:43get a budget, like I said, the business starts. It's a lot of artists that really don't have
02:48the knowledge of the money that they're making. Because sometimes as artists, we like, okay,
02:53well, if I'm getting paid for this and I'm getting paid for my shows, then that must be everything
02:56that I'm supposed to get. But it's really so much more that artists can get. And I advise
03:01all artists to understand the business and really learn. Because music, I heard somebody
03:10say this the other day, like music is like real estate. So, you know, you owning these
03:16certain records, it can pay you in the future. Like you could literally like sell it and it
03:22could be worth more than you ever made from it. So I think that ownership is important because
03:26it pays you back long term. Now I've had the opportunity through my label to release
03:31other albums with other companies. So that gives me ownership of the music. So big shout
03:36out to Stunner Man because he allows me to do that. Big shout out to Gazia Empire. I got
03:40two albums that I dropped at separate labels. Mood 1 and F of Friends Zone 2 with Dayz Low.
03:46So those are two projects where I own all like the masters and stuff. So that's ownership.
