00:03building this new chapter alongside the original cast has been a gift we're
00:10moving into this new cinematic landscape in which you really get to see the HBCU
00:15experience in a different light whereas the the original sitcom had a different
00:20focus between one moment to moment we get to see the entirety of what it
00:25feels like to be a student at an HBCU at Hillman and the the life and the culture
00:30of it and what it inspires you to do and be and become I think that it's really
00:36important that we get to promote a fresh voice you know young black people are
00:41just young people in general but specifically in our community need a
00:45platform in which they can feel represented and stories can be promoted
00:50and amplified the moments that we have together on and off set the legacy cast
00:55has been so so generous with their time and their resources and their love and
01:01their embrace there's like an amazing sense of responsibility that comes with
01:06leading this project but I never felt like I was doing it by myself there's
01:10been so much care and nuance and spirit and effort poured into this project from
01:16the creative team Debbie Allen and Felicia Pride to us the original like the YA cast
01:21the legacy cast the legacy cast we all care so much and we know that people are
01:24anticipating this and we want you to know that we appreciate the anticipation we
01:29appreciate the love that you already have for what's been and we want to
01:32continue to give you things that make you feel represented that make you laugh
01:36that you can watch with your family that you can feel seen by and represented by so
01:40we care just as much as you do and we hope you love it just as much as we do
