Rayareddy Clarifies ‘Islam Is Superior’ Remark: ‘I Didn’t Disparage Any Religion’
'ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಧರ್ಮಗಳಿಗಿಂತ ಇಸ್ಲಾಂ ಧರ್ಮ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ' ಎಂಬ ತಮ್ಮ ಹಿಂದಿನ ಹೇಳಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಸಚಿವ ಬಸವರಾಜ ರಾಯರೆಡ್ಡಿ ಮತ್ತೆ ಸಮರ್ಥಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ತಾವು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದರಲ್ಲಿ ತಪ್ಪೇನಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಪ್ರಶ್ನಿಸಿರುವ ಅವರು, ಬೇರೆ ಯಾವುದೇ ಧರ್ಮವನ್ನು ಕಡಿಮೆ ಅಥವಾ ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.ಆಯಾ ಧರ್ಮಗಳ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಂದರ್ಭಿಕವಾಗಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಇಸ್ಲಾಂ ಧರ್ಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠವಾದ ವಿಚಾರಗಳಿವೆ ಎಂಬ ಕಾರಣಕ್ಕೆ ಅದನ್ನು ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಇದರಲ್ಲಿ ತಪ್ಪೇನಿದೆ ಎಂದು ರಾಯರೆಡ್ಡಿ ಪ್ರಶ್ನಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಧರ್ಮಗಳೂ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠವಾಗಿವೆ ಎಂಬುದು ತಮ್ಮ ನಿಲುವು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
Karnataka Minister Basavaraj Rayareddy has once again defended his earlier statement that “Islam is superior to all religions.” Questioning what was wrong with his statement, Rayareddy clarified that he did not intend to belittle or criticize any other religion.
He said he had spoken contextually at programmes associated with different religions and described Islam as superior because he believes it contains many noble and exemplary values. At the same time, Rayareddy reiterated that his overall position is that all religions are great.
