00:07Hi Guitar World, I'm Alice Tai. I play guitar in my band Blush but also I'm a Paralympic swimmer.
00:13I've won gold at the Paralympics, World Championships, Commonwealth Games and Europeans.
00:18I most recently won this gold medal at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow and it made
00:23me laugh because it's very similar to the picks I normally use. I normally use a jazz pick so I
00:28thought why not give it a go and see if I can play with it and I thought it was
00:31appropriate to do a Megadeth song, a bit of heavy metal, to play with my my medal.
00:51Yeah, it's fun. Metal is getting pretty dinged up now though so I probably won't be doing too much
00:57more playing with it. This is my made in Japan Telecaster Deluxe. I keep getting asked if it's
01:03a custom and it's not. I got it off Facebook Marketplace and I was looking for Fat 70s
01:09headstock because I think they're cool on a telly and also I wanted humbuckers so when this one
01:14appeared I went to try it and I fell in love. It's got a really chunky neck and I love
01:19a chunky neck
01:20so I went and got it and the guy had put this anodized pickguard onto it and I think it's
01:25really
01:26cool so I never switched it back. He did give me the original but I think this looks cooler.
