Rescue teams crawled through narrow tunnels at the Langtang Hydropower Project in Nepal's Rasuwa district, video released by the Nepali Army on Monday showed, as efforts intensified to reach hundreds feared trapped after last week's catastrophic floods.
The footage showed rescuers using ropes to navigate confined, debris-filled passages inside the tunnels.
Nepal's army said search teams were using excavators, controlled blasts and searchlights to clear mud and water and gain access to blocked tunnel sections.
Authorities said on Monday 933 workers are believed to be missing at 11 hydropower projects in the flood-hit districts of Rasuwa and Nuwakot following the glacier-triggered disaster that has killed more than 900 people.
