00:01And the Venezuela Rises mission is moving forward with the goal of addressing the housing needs of families affected by
00:06the June 24 twin earthquake.
00:08Our colleague Michelle Ramirez shares more details from La Guaira.
00:14210 rehabilitated homes were delivered in the Ana Victoria housing complex in La Guaira State, which is home to dozens
00:20of families.
00:21The June 24 double earthquake affected this residential complex and its surroundings.
00:26Thanks to the Venezuela Rises mission, promoted by the national government, the damage was repaired and the area was remodeled
00:34in less than two months.
00:38We suffered a great loss in terms of our homes.
00:43Every member of the community experienced significant masonry damage, and honestly, the homes were uninhabitable.
00:50Most people could not remain in their homes.
00:53Some went to stay with relatives, while others stayed in tents.
00:58And this allowed us to continue with the repairs.
01:03Thanks to the excellent management of acting President Delcy Rodriguez and her team, we were able to rebuild.
01:10210 families are now in their homes.
01:12The work was also made possible thanks to the community spokespersons of this housing complex, who came together with faith
01:19and hope.
01:22We organized because that is the foundation we need to move forward and fight.
01:29Our community has always been organized, and we have faith and empathy for one another.
01:38Not only have the homes been worked on, with masonry, walls, plumbing, doors, and glasswork.
01:46As many windows were broken and doors wouldn't open.
01:51But our spaces have been improved as well.
01:56As you can see, this is a park that did not exist in our community before.
02:02This area was intended for children, and now we have a recreational park for them.
02:08Thanks to the Venezuela Rises Plan and our acting President, Delcy Rodriguez, we now have this park.
02:13We also have a bio-healthy park.
02:15The rehabilitation work focused on masonry and beautifying the facade.
02:20For example, the home of Gaudi regained its tranquility and peace.
02:25The remodeling work took 15 days.
02:29Honestly, the support from the engineers, staff, and workers was great.
02:36They were very patient with us because it wasn't just the structure.
02:39It was also the psychological aspect, the nerves.
02:43Any movement caused nervousness.
02:44We're still nervous because it's not easy.
02:48There are practically daily tremors.
02:50Everything turned out beautifully.
02:52The remodel was gorgeous.
02:56I am honestly in love with my apartment.
02:59It's even better than before.
03:01The Venezuela Rises Plan has inspected and evaluated more than 60,000 homes,
03:07repairing over 13,000 properties nationwide to ensure stable housing for Venezuelans.
