00:00all right i'm keeping a very close eye on tropical storm edward tonight tomorrow we are under a fox
00:0626 storm alert because we got a tropical storm heading our way not super strong right now it's
00:11just a minimal tropical storm with 40 mile power winds but it is expected to roll right in between
00:17galveston and port author tomorrow damn right now timeline how will tropical storm erode affect the
00:24houston area this is big one okay and bring us gusty winds for some of you maybe over 40 miles
00:30per hour heavy rain and the threat for street flooding so that is the big news this evening
00:35and tonight a tropical storm named edward has formed it is going to roll in and likely make landfall
00:40just east of galveston tomorrow afternoon and it could bring some of you more than five inches of
00:46rain yes five inches of rain dusty winds also and as i mentioned some gusty wind wind may be strong
00:52enough to cause some spotty power outages and some isolated wind damage especially southeast
00:57of houston down toward power outages almost yeah must words chambers county the boliver peninsula and
01:05maybe even getting into parts of liberty county so we'll have to watch things closely but here's a
01:09look at edward on yes edward here in the new orleans houston area on satellite we have a monday
01:16timeline satellite map tonight it is getting closer to the upper texas coast and southwestern
01:22louisiana currently 40 mile power winds of course when it jumped from 35 to 40 mile power winds
01:28with that 7 p.m advisory that made it turn into a tropical storm it was a tropical depression
01:34you can see it is generally tracking to the yeah it's tracking to the uh texas bauro and then
01:40louisiana west northwest around six miles per hour and it is going to be rolling right over southeast
01:46texas tomorrow during the afternoon but of course the impacts will start earlier than the afternoon
01:51hours things will start going downhill during the morning so you need to be ready for the yes during
01:56the morning wednesday 1 a.m so it's a totally around morning and wednesday 1 p.m it's 95 uh
02:0310
02:03losing but rain and the wind how much wind well right now 40 mile per hour winds yes by 1
02:10a.m tuesday
02:10morning still 45 mile per hour winds but by 1 p.m tuesday look at that forecast models have the
02:16wind
02:16going up 25 25 60 miles per hour shortly before land uh this is tuesday okay also that is why
02:24we're
02:24concerned there could be a few power outages and maybe some minor wind damage right along the coast
02:29maybe between galveston and chambers county yeah that can happen all right now we have this is uh yeah
02:35an area not much rain going on we've got a few showers popping up near liberty and also near
02:42dayton just south yeah dayton and liberty we have showers there in southern liberty county they're
02:47drifting off to the west but not a ton to worry about in the rain department for now but i
02:52do think
02:52isolated downpours will roll in overnight but the main event is going to be tomorrow morning
02:57through tomorrow night and even through the first tomorrow all day all night is going to be a one
03:02for adverse showing its power to you of wednesday our fox weather model showing that circulation just
03:09offshore south of beaumont by 9 a.m tomorrow and this tropical system will be bringing in those first
03:17rounds of rain bands throughout the morning tomorrow first going to be heaviest close to the coast so
03:21places like yeah that's going to happen right there and yeah all all the areas el campo lake charles and
03:28clave lands and beach and all galveston and the bolivar peninsula and angleton lake jackson getting
03:35out on some of that rain during the morning by the late morning and afternoon rain really starting
03:40to increase for places like houston peril and sugarland yeah all these areas drostenberg lake city caddy
03:46houston woodland clave land lingston cilsby and over towards liberty now notice what happens at 4 pm
03:53it looks like the system is right on top of us and we are right in the middle of some
03:58of the
03:58the heaviest yes top of the houston and yep first of tropical downpours and maybe some strong gusty winds
04:06near or stronger than 40 miles per hour going into 8 pm still some scattered still it is stronger
04:12everywhere so keep things prepared right now downpours but i think tomorrow night wednesday morning
04:17the heaviest axis of huntsville to the college station and marlene and croquette to shift north
04:23between conroe and huntsville so even wednesday just north of houston that flood threat is going to
04:29remain on the higher side you can even see some downpours regenerating wednesday afternoon right
04:34over yeah it's going to be coming down on wednesday so this isn't going to be a short-lived event
04:40we have a level two out of four risk for street flooding for just about everyone tomorrow but that level
04:45two flood risk will stick around up towards places like the woodlands conroe and huntsville
04:49for wednesday tomorrow at this point we're not under an official severe threat but of course yeah yeah
04:56but of course preparation is a must we are on a possible threat not extreme nor significant not
05:02very likely not likely on a possible one for strong storms with a land falling tropical system definitely
05:09going to be there so if you're in yes what to expect rain chance 80 percent worst weather watch out
05:14for
05:14flood storms woodlands montgomery magnolia i think the worst of your weather is going to be tuesday
05:20afternoon through early wednesday morning yep 30 to 40 mile per hour gusts 80 rain chance and there could
05:26be some flooded roads chambers county remember you are under a tropical storm warning and a flood watch
05:32for places like anawak and this is the spot where we could have maybe some this can happen be a
05:37seven
05:37day forecast we have scattered storms tropical storm and everybody and a cloudy weather 50 plus mile
05:43per hour wind gusts as tropical storm edward makes landfall tomorrow afternoon so please be careful avoid
05:49flooded roads try to stay out of the wind and rain if you can but if you're going to be
05:52out there be
05:53extra cautious it's going to be messy especially for that evening rush and we'll keep some rain around
05:58for wednesday and you are safe guys all safe
