00:00Well, Italy's political scene, political system being somewhat disrupted by a newcomer who is
00:06surging in the polls. And you've seen with Giorgio Maloney, a prime minister who has managed
00:12to govern and stay relatively popular. Maloney's still leading the most popular party in Italy,
00:17a party that in government has still made gains at elections, but a government that still now
00:23is restricted within the European Union and repeatedly has a government that complains,
00:30whether it be about border policy or whether it be about EU climate policy or even about
00:38green rules, you know, an Italian government that time and time again, unable to make decisions and
00:45reduce the basically complaining about the restrictions imposed within that European Union
00:52system. But in terms of the new reality of Italian politics and a new party that is fast emerging
01:00and challenging Maloney from the right, well, this is led by the former Italian general, Roberto
01:06Venacchi, and this new party that he's leading that has actually already become, seven months after
01:15launch, the fourth most popular party in Italy. Already it broke away from the League party,
01:21the Liga party, and has overtaken them. Also now overtaken the Forza Italia party, which now means
01:28overall it's the fourth force in terms of Italian politics. And that poses a significant challenge
01:36now for Giorgio Maloney, who, when I repeat the point time and time again, is restricted to sort of
01:45complaining about the system. We saw this recently with Spain about the open border system that the
01:52European Union has. You know, you're seeing this time and time again Maloney talking about it, but
01:58unable really to fundamentally change the system whilst inside the European Union. But it'll be
02:05interesting to see now whether this momentum for this new party will continue. Will Giorgio Maloney
02:11potentially do a deal with this party as part of a right-wing coalition or not. As ever though,
