00:48that Iran was responsible. The agency also did not clarify whether Yair Netanyahu specifically was
00:56the target or whether the threat involved his younger brother, Avner Netanyahu.
01:02Yair has been living primarily in Miami since moving to the United States in 2023. He has
01:09spent much of that time outside Israel, including during the country's conflicts involving Gaza,
01:16Lebanon and Iran. But despite living abroad, Yair has remained a highly visible political
01:22voice. He has frequently defended his father, Benjamin Netanyahu, on social media and launched attacks
01:30against the Israeli Prime Minister's critics. He has also been described as an unofficial advisor to his
01:36father. Now, security concerns have suddenly brought him back to Israel. Israeli authorities had already
01:44increased security protection for Yair, Avner and their mother, Sarah Netanyahu, beginning in July.
01:51The latest development comes just days after Benjamin Netanyahu made a dramatic claim about one of his sons.
01:59On August 24, during an interview with Israel's Channel 14, Netanyahu said that Iran had targeted one of his
02:08sons and had tried to murder him. However, Netanyahu did not publicly identify which son he was referring to,
02:16and Shin Bet has not publicly connected the latest security threat to Iran. That distinction is
02:23important. For now, Israeli authorities have confirmed only that a significant security threat prompted Yair
