00:00Listen, we've had these eye-rolling, not-taking-each-other-seriously arguments as fans.
00:06I do think what Emery Hunt says about what he's seen, just see, like, I got one guy who's not
00:11afraid to throw the football, I got another guy who's terrified of it. I mean, let's break it
00:14down to that. Like, yeah, there's things that we know by being here, by seeing things, telling you
00:22guys, operationally, operationally, operationally, well, that's, again, that's half the battle.
00:27You know, you can throw the ball through the wall, but if you don't know how to line
00:31them up and how to draw them up and do all those things, and I'm sorry, you're Brandon
00:34Whedon. It's a parlor trick. All right, there's been plenty of guys who've been at, like, how
00:41many driving champions, how many big drive champions actually win golf tournaments?
00:47Not many. None. None, right? So you can throw the ball a country mile, and you can do all
00:53the, you can throw a nice deep ball and all that stuff, but if you can't get 10 other
00:56guys and they're going in the direction you need them to go, you're going to have
01:00problems. And I don't even think Deshaun Watson's very good at it. And I think he's
01:04going to go out there and probably get nervous, commit turnovers, and people are going to be
01:10very upset with the head coach for picking them. Now, I am still saying that, considering
01:18what we know, I'd have to make the same decision, unfortunately. But damn, Sam, seeing what we've
01:25seen in the preseason, seeing what we've seen in training camp, I got to get the other guy
01:29ready. We got to get going. We have to hit warp speed here. You've seen it all, because
01:33I don't trust the other guy at all. I think that he's a broken quarterback. The mechanics
01:39are off. Your mechanics have gone to hell. That means you're playing nervous. You're playing
01:43within your own head. You have problems. And the other guy being Shador, you don't play
01:47like that. You don't play scared. So when we have these big fights and everybody goes,
01:53I can't believe we're having these fights. I do the same thing. I don't think either
01:56of these guys are going to be around, so I'm not going to sit there and block people on
01:59social media and rip other people and get mad at you and nasty with you, because I really
02:04don't think either one's going to be here. But I totally buy the argument from somebody
02:11else who's, maybe they're a Shador fan. Maybe they are not a bot or a burner. They're a real
02:16person. And they're going, Kenny, I'm watching last year and I'm watching this year and one
02:21guy's willing to stand in there and let it fly. Yeah, man, I get it. One guy's willing
02:26to do it. I hate to use the term, because I think the term is a loaded term, and I
02:30just
02:31hate it. The gamer situation gets brought up. I hate doing that, because to me it's
02:37disrespectful. It's disrespectful to the work that they put in. We called Johnny a
02:42gamer, and Johnny was an idiot. And that's honestly what turned it to me. Oh, he's a
02:47gamer. No, he's a moron. Well, because he knew he was terrible in practice. Yes, but he
02:51didn't give himself a chance. This guy's actually trying. Shador is trying. The other
02:55guy didn't give himself a chance. He was an idiot. Almost said something I had to dump.
02:59Do you think Deshaun's trying in practice? Yeah. I mean, he's putting the work in.
03:03Oh, I think they're all trying in practice. But that's what I'm saying. When I say gamer,
03:07I think of Johnny. I think of something immediately extremely negative. And so I don't like using
03:12that term. So when people are going, well, Kenny might just be a gamer. I'm like, yeah,
03:15but that means you're taking away from the work he's doing in practice. He may very well
03:19be a quote unquote gamer, but damn it. Like if I'm just watching a game, because most fans
03:24are gamers, they're just watching games. I'm seeing one guy standing there and try to let
03:28it fly. Yeah. He drifts every now and then, but I see one guy trying to throw the ball
03:32down the field, trying to move the ball. I see another guy and he's waiting for something
03:36bad to happen to him. Okay. So looks like Johnny Depp getting out of the car and fear and loathing
03:41in Las Vegas. It's crazy. You just described a guy then that has no business winning a quarterback
03:47competition in Deshaun Watson in just talking about not in this case. So this is what I want
03:52to get to. Emory just came on and Emory made it sound like the only reason Deshaun Watson
03:59is starting is the money. He didn't want to hear about the operation stuff. And he, by
04:04the way, Emory was right. Deshaun Watson has made mistakes in the operations too. So I get
04:10why Shador fans are like, why are you saying this is an issue with Shador when we've seen
04:14it with Watson, but in the same token, like why do we think Munkin is starting Deshaun
04:21Watson? Do we think he's deliberately starting the wrong guy? Is that what people really think?
04:27I think there are, there is a, I think there is a group that do believe that. I think there's
04:33a group of fans that do believe that. I don't because it does come down to like, yeah, I need
04:39to have a guy who can eventually put the ball downfield. I know I need that, but if he's
04:46not ready to go, he's just not ready to go. This is why I'm trying to be very understanding
04:51with Todd. It's an unpopular decision. I don't think he went into it trying to make everybody
04:56mad. I think he's trying to do what's best for his football team. And one guy can get
05:02him in and out of the huddle a little bit better than the other guy. And so am I going
05:07to spike his growth? Like this is probably the best way to do this. If we weren't going
05:12to start Deshaun Watson or we weren't going to start your door Sanders right off. All right.
05:16Think about what it is. Clearly there's been a lot that's been put out. I was surprised
05:20that he was a fifth round pick, but you ended up bringing up the combine. So we'll go back
05:24through the history. Clearly there's something missing. I think that some people around the
05:29NFL are surprised by it because it's like, Hey, you know, you had high level coaching.
05:33He had high level people. Maybe it's just like, Hey, we got to go anywhere we go. We
05:37got to win and we got to, we got to make this thing as quick as possible. And they, they
05:40did, they had a hot, they had to hot shot everything at Jackson state. I mean, you could
05:44got, you can't just waste Travis Hunter at Jackson state for crying out loud. When
05:47you take over Jackson state, I mean, you've got the guy to not go to Florida state to go
05:51to Jackson state. So you better get in the right direction there. And then you're in
05:54Colorado. Everybody in the world is skeptical of you. You better get in the fast lane quick.
06:00So they had to go quick. And now you're seeing a little bit of time. Can we just take
06:04a breather? It's not a personal affront. I know you love to troll people over there because
06:09you're a slippery wizard, but I'm over here trying to keep some modicum of sanity going,
06:13Hey, it's not a troll. It's not a nastiness for me. I'm just seeing it as I'm trying to
06:16see it. If I were Todd Munkin, if I got one older guy, who's able to, to, to at least
06:21tell
06:21him the information and get him in and out of the huddle, that's fine. That's going to be
06:26fine for a short amount of time. If he's still just terrified to throw the football. I mean,
06:30hell, we might just be looking at an older version. Now a Dylan Gabriel, what was the whole
06:33thing about Dylan Gabriel? Oh my God. He's a supercomputer. And then there's passes that
06:39haven't landed yet from last year. And I know he was good. I'm not trying to be nasty. He
06:44was good. This, the, in the preseason game last week, but for the love of God, I love
06:50we didn't, this show did not overreact to that game. The only, the only thing I did ask, well,
06:55I just said it's going to be hard to trade him now. Yeah. The only thing I did ask after
06:58that game is why wasn't he given a shot to win the starting job? That was the only thing
07:03I kind of been wondering all along. And if your answer was, well, coach sees every play
07:08coach sees all the tape. At least we thought so until his comments yesterday. Well, he
07:12also sees all the tape when it comes to your first two quarterbacks too. Cause I think you're
07:16looking at it from the right perspective, Dylan. And then I'm going to get in the woods
07:21here. Dylan is a backup. He's a backup. He's a backup. Deshaun Watson at one point played
07:28at an MVP level. Shador Sanders, and this should be a feather in his cap.
07:34Shador Sanders, you want to kick the tires on to see if he can be a starter for you.
07:38And there's possibly gold there. That should be a feather in his cap. Now, some people are
07:42just addicted to disrespect and they'll take it the wrong way, but that's what it is.
07:47And so if I have this young man who I think is six foot two, who's able to throw the
07:53football,
07:53who's not afraid to throw the football, I can work with that. It just might be week one
07:57ain't the most proper time to do that. Cause I don't want to kill him before he's ready
08:01to go out there. I want him to have the best chance possible and maybe time and seeing it
08:05and seeing even how it's not supposed to be done is maybe the best thing for him.
08:09Now I'm still trying to win. So I'm going to say that we're trying to do it the best
08:13way possible. But from an outsider's perspective, I'm looking at this as a fan, as someone trying
08:19to analyze it going, okay, he's going to see how it's done. And he certainly, cause not
08:24a lot of us have faith in Deshaun Watson. He's going to see how it's not supposed to be
08:27done. Because once you get out of that huddle, you might know everything's going, but when
08:32you get the snap and you're just looking for somebody to hit you and that ain't going
08:37to go well. And so Shador knows that I don't have any worry about your, I mean, he took
08:41some wild hits last year. He just got right back up and threw the ball down the field.
08:46I could not believe he survived some of that last year. Yeah. And that should speak to
08:50people.
