00:11The DOTR is proposing a P300.96 billion budget for 2027, higher than its P137.84 billion approved budget in

00:22The DOTR says during the budget hearing, the Department of Budget and Management approved only 30 of the 179 projects
00:29proposed by the agency in its 2027 budget proposal.
00:33This leaves 149 proposed projects worth P387 billion without funding in the National Expenditure Program submitted to Congress.
00:41Among the projects that did not receive funding are the rehabilitation of LRT2, the extension of LRT1, the EDSA bus
00:48carousel, and the construction of several transport hubs.
00:51The DOTR also says several railway projects have no funds set aside for right-of-way acquisition, including the Metro
00:58Manila Subway, MRT4, Mindanao Railway, PNR South Long Hall, and LRT2 West Extension.
