The Renault 4 E-Tech is built in Europe: at Ampere's ElectriCity plant. The vehicle is assembled in Maubeuge, the motor at the Cléon site, and the battery from March 2025 in Douai. Seventy-five percent of the suppliers are located within a 300-kilometer radius of the ElectriCity complex. These short supply chains promote competitive local production, secure jobs, and reduce the environmental impact.

Thanks to investments already made in 2021 at the Maubeuge plant for the Renault Kangoo, the costs of setting up production for the Renault 4 E-Tech Electric were kept to a minimum. Only the specific resources required for this vehicle were added, such as the fabric roof system and the jet-print painting robot for the two-tone finish.

In line with the Renault Group's commitment to the circular economy, the Renault 4 E-Tech Electric has a recycling rate of 88.6 percent. Thanks to the expertise of The Future is NEUTRAL, the Renault Group's subsidiary specializing in the circular economy, the Renault 4 E-Tech Electric also uses 26.4 percent recycled materials, including metal, glass, and 41 kilograms of recycled polymers. These materials are found, for example, under the doors, in the headliner, and in the carpets of the interior and trunk. The seat covers in the Techno and Iconic trim levels are made from up to 100 percent recycled fibers from plastic bottles.
