00:11The victim, Mohammad Haiman Fitri Supyan, was found by members of the public about 3.1
00:17nautical miles from where the incident occurred.
00:20Acting Tanjung Sidili Maritime Zone Director, Maritime Commander, Mohammad Najib Sam, said
00:27the victim's identity was confirmed by his next of kin.
00:30The discovery brought an end to the four-day search and rescue operation
00:35coordinated by the Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency, MMEA.
00:40Mohammad Najib conveyed his condolences to the victim's families
00:44and thanked all agencies involved for their commitment in mobilizing personnel,
00:48assets and expertise throughout the operation.
00:51He also expressed appreciation to the maritime community,
00:55particularly fishermen, boat operators and members of the public,
00:59for providing information and helping monitor the waters.
01:03The incident occurred on Wednesday, when the Fire and Rescue Department received an emergency call
01:09at 8.19am about six 16-year-old boys who had encountered difficulties while swimming.
01:17Two of them, Mohammad Fakrul Iskandar Abdullah and Mohammad Afik Ruzani Mazlan,
01:23were rescued by beachgoers.
01:25The SAR operation subsequently recovered the four remaining victims,
01:29Mohammad Thaqif, Ryan Rumainur,
01:32Alif Taqyuddin Kamal Hasrul,
01:34Mohammad Adib Hafi Kamal,
01:36and Mohammad Haiman.
