Can you really bake a fresh homemade pizza using only sunlight?
In this video, I test my solar oven by baking a pizza on my apartment balcony — with no gas and no electricity.
I prepare the ingredients, pre-bake the pizza dough to help prevent a soft base, then add bacon, cheese, onion, tomato and herbs before putting it back into the solar oven.
The result is a golden, crispy pizza cooked entirely with solar energy.
You don't need a campsite to try solar cooking. A sunny balcony can be a great place to experiment too.
