00:00Because it ties in one of the bigger results, actually,
00:02that we already saw during the weekday, which was Deion Sanders
00:04get a road win at Georgia Tech,
00:06and it gives Deion an opportunity now to have a successful year
00:09at Colorado, right?
00:12This was a four-and-a-half win total.
00:14Some people thought, hey, you know, they can become bowl eligible.
00:17I don't think Deion winning eight, nine games is probably on the board,
00:21probably, but I think what it does is it puts Deion back in a positive light.
00:27There was a while where people had thought about Deion Sanders
00:30potentially becoming the head coach at Florida State.
00:33I think if they would have hired Deion Sanders this offseason,
00:36people are like, what?
00:37Like, Colorado were not very good last year.
00:40The connection is obvious.
00:41For anybody that doesn't know, Deion went to Florida State
00:43and was unbelievable there.
00:47Do you – Norvell is getting fired, right?
00:51Like, if this is another five-win season for FSU, maybe a six-win season,
00:55do you think that the Deion stuff could pop up once again here for the Seminoles?
01:01It will pop up.
01:03I'm not sure that that's the answer to their problems.
01:06And, I mean, Norvell, if they get the six wins, they'll be lucky.
01:08He's probably coach of the year if he gets the six wins with Norvell.
01:11You'd have to think at some point they will find the money to fire him
01:15because he should have been fired two years ago.
01:16He should have been fired last year.
01:18That's simply they haven't been able to afford to fire him,
01:20which is a sad state of affairs.
01:22If he's gone, is Deion the answer?
01:24I mean, it makes sense.
01:25We've seen these teams time and time again go home and go get a guy.
01:28And Deion has had a couple years under his belt.
01:30I think it was too early a few years ago when those Deion conversations popped up
01:35all over the NFL and all over college football.
01:37If he has a good year this year, Deion, and he's off to a great start
01:41and he doesn't have a very good team, I think that conversation becomes something
01:45because I'm not sold on him.
01:46Obviously, two years ago they had a wonderful season with some wonderful talent
01:50and the whole world was watching.
01:51You saw it blow up last year and this year will be interesting.
01:55I'm one of the guys who was on Georgia Tech the other night
01:57and that game was zero chance that I have to cover that game other than late
02:01when the guy almost broke one for 80.
02:04But Deion is in a proven year where I think if they do well,
02:09it's not out of the realm of possibility that you see him on the sidelines in Tallahassee
02:13because it can't get any worse.
02:15So what would be wrong with going and getting and bringing him home
02:18and saying, all right, Deion, what can you do with this?
02:21Because people will come to Tallahassee if Deion's there,
02:23simply in the seats and on the field.
02:27The draw to me is I think he can still recruit.
02:32Now, you know better than me the financial situation at FSU,
02:34so maybe they can't back him in the way that Deion would be,
02:37one, required to find the money to fire Norvell, pay Deion, and then build a roster.
02:42It's a lot of money that would all be required.
02:44But I just don't think that he can recruit.
02:46So that's what very few times there's a six-win team in a power conference
02:51seem like an appetizing hire.
02:53But I think Deion is obviously a very, very unique situation.
