00:00The British are bringing major players on board, all of whom independently offer access
00:04to space.
00:05Space and access to it will become increasingly important for a country's sovereignty in
00:10the near future.
00:10The UK has understood this quite well and acted accordingly.
00:14This port here in Cornwall gives the British flexible access to a wide range of orbits.
00:19Because with a horizontal launch, the carrier aircraft can bring the rocket to the ideal
00:24launch point for any orbit.
00:25Sachs Award and the Sutherland Spaceport in the north of the country are specialized
00:30or limited, depending on how you look at it, to polar orbits.
00:34Sutherland Spaceport is located here on this peninsula at the northernmost tip of the island.
00:39This spaceport will initially serve as a base for Skyrora and Orbex in the short term.
00:44Both companies are incredibly innovative.
00:46Orbex covers the market for payloads over one ton with their prime rocket and Skyrora covers
00:51the market for small and micro satellites.
00:53The Skyrora XL can carry about 315 kilograms into a 500 kilometer high orbit.
