00:13from the Sing Akademie zu Berlin.
00:18Together, they performed various works of German and Greek composers.
00:23The result of this unique musical encounter was deeply moving.
00:33It has a special story because this opening for Europe,
00:37that was our idea.
00:39Because three years ago, after the service,
00:42we came out of the cathedral
00:44and there was another demonstration in the Lustgarten
00:47from the right wing of our society.
00:51And we all say that cannot be.
00:53We come from the service.
00:55We want to be together without hate, without racism.
00:58So, since three years, we have booked this place for our choirs.

01:24As part of the 10th HIOS Music Festival held last August,
01:27more than 50 young female singers from the Sing Akademie zu Berlin
01:31had spent a week on the island,
01:33giving concerts at various locations across HIOS.
01:36I think this not only meeting each other but making art together,
01:41making music together is even a deeper impact that it has on them
01:47and I'm sure that they will take it into their lives as an experience.
