After the match, Guyana skipper Imran Tahir was pleased with his team's display this season, whereas opposite number Jason Holder felt the Patriots should have batted better.

00:00The Guyana Amazon Warriors beat St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots by seven wickets on Sunday evening at Providence Stadium.
00:07It's a spot in the playoffs too.
00:10In so doing, the Amazon Warriors became the first side to reach the Republic Bank's CPL playoffs.
00:15And once again, skipper Imran Tahir said it took a team effort to get them there.
00:19You know, I'm just really proud of the boys, you know.
00:22We've been playing really good cricket in all the departments, you know.
00:25Maybe now and then, you know, we lose a little bit grip.
00:28But then anyone can come and be a hero.
00:31And I think that's what's been the story so far in our group.
00:34Tahir also praised Mohamed Nabi for his brilliant figures of 4 for 17, which hurt the Patriots.
00:39But Nabi will miss the rest of the CPL because of national duties with Afghanistan.
00:44Not always safe as houses, a flow classic catch contender.
00:50Yeah, look, he's been an absolute legend, you know.
00:52He's one of the best off-spinner in world cricket at the moment.
00:55And that's the reason we got him, you know, can bat a really good slip fielder, you know.
01:01And he's been really good with us, you know, sharing his knowledge.
01:04And the way he's been bowling, it's been brilliant, you know.
01:06Even from GSL till now, his lengths are so good.
01:09He never missed anything in any game.
01:13So, look, his performance stands out for itself, you know.
01:17So, but we really love to have him here and we're really going to miss him.
01:22The St. Kips and Nevis Patriots remain stuck in fifth position with seven points.
01:26Team skipper Jason Holder was hoping for a more competitive total to give his side a chance.
01:35Yeah, I think we were probably like 20, 25 runs short.
01:38You know, the nature of the wicket, you know, it felt like we were always in the game with the
01:41ball.
01:41You know, they obviously bowled well.
01:42You know, they were able to restrict us to 128, which I think was a little bit below par.
01:46I think in the area around 145, 50 would have been a decent total.
01:50The Patriots bowlers took it very close, which saw the Guyana franchise getting home with nine balls to spare.
01:56As such, Holder could not fault his bowlers.
01:58On the ground, the tallest man on the field.
02:02Yeah, not too bad, you know.
02:03He's always tough defending an under par score.
02:05You know, I thought the bowlers gave a really good effort.
02:08Probably, they probably got off to a little bit of a flare in the power play.
02:11You know, probably if we limited the boundaries and the damage in the power play,
02:15it would have been probably a different game.
02:16Maybe the 128 would have been stretched a little bit further.
02:18Not sure if it would have gotten us across the line, but I know we could have fought a little
02:21bit better.
02:21The Patriots play their last game on Thursday against Barbados Tridents
02:25with the hope of qualifying for the playoffs.
