00:24So with that, you know, I lost my mind at the idea that Deshaun Watson would be a season-long

00:34I'm still not thrilled with him being a captain at all, but at least this makes more sense to me.
00:40The idea of, well, Deshaun might not be our quarterback in three weeks, so why do we go ahead and
00:45put captaincy on him?
00:46I thought people looked a little bit deeper into it than it needed to be.
00:49I think if he thought Deshaun was going to be the starter all year long, I still think he would
00:53have taken this approach.

00:55Because this is the approach that John Harbaugh has taken when he was with Baltimore, and Todd Munkin was there

01:02Minner immediately named Lamar Jackson a captain and had five captains in total, and then also has this, like, captain
01:08council that adds five more.

01:11Yeah, it's like a council that is beyond just being named the game day captain.
01:16Captain, there's ten technical captains that the Ravens are trying to have, but only five represent on game day.

01:23But the point is, when Harbaugh was there with Munkin, Harbaugh did week-by-week captaincy.
01:28And one of the things that Harbaugh always credited on this was that idea for, like, for instance, week one

01:33Tyson Campbell can be a captain because he used to play for Jacksonville, and the game is going to mean
01:37a lot for him.
01:38And so it just lets you do that.
01:40So I really don't think this was anything about Deshaun Watson or a lack of belief in Deshaun Watson.
01:45I genuinely just believe this is, okay, Munkin, when he was in Baltimore, saw Harbaugh do this.
01:50This is how Harbaugh operates, and I'm going to take that here and move it to the Browns.

01:57And then I did look down to Pittsburgh, and Pittsburgh's also going to be doing the same thing under Mike

10:09a lot of sports in general, revolves around a lot of group think.

10:16teams handle this kind of international travel wildly different.
10:20And I actually think the 49ers are doing it better than the Rams.
10:24I think the Rams are taking a real risk here
10:26and having your players just completely beat up and jet lagged.
10:31Whereas I think the Niners players,
10:33it's going to be about as normal as you can possibly be leading up to the game.
10:38Talent does matter,
10:39but in a game where everyone's always looking for an edge,
10:42I think the 49ers have the edge here.
10:43Nobody really knows, obviously,
10:45because we don't have enough data
10:46and enough to find out exactly what the right mentality is.

10:51Vegas believes that the 49ers are doing this the right way
