00:00NFL starts tonight, Mr. Oville.
00:04It's great news.
00:05I know Bob Luce is going to goof on me, but let's kick off.
00:09820, I believe.
00:10Yeah, 820 sounds right.
00:11I mean, they say 820.
00:12I don't know if it'll be closer to 830.
00:13Probably 835.
00:15Matt Cahill will be up late tonight.
00:18Matt Cahill.
00:20Watching his beloved Seahawks.
00:22He's going to be up until about 1130, unless it's a blowout.
00:25But I assume he's going to stay up.
00:26Everybody should be up late.
00:27I know.
00:28First game of the season.
00:29Not me.
00:30What am I going to do?
00:31What am I going to do?
00:31You're going to record it and watch it at 3 in the morning.
00:33Yes.
00:34I'll watch a half.
00:35I'll watch the first quarter.
00:37That'll get me until 910, 910-ish.
00:40No, Jason will watch the first quarter and then watch YouTube highlights.
00:45No, no.
00:45I'll record it and then I'll fast forward in the morning.
00:50Go through all the commercials, the halftime.
00:52I can watch the rest of the game in about 20 minutes.
00:54What's the line on the game?
00:55What's the line?
00:56I think it's three.
00:57Seattle favored by three?
00:58Seattle is favored by three.
01:00Yeah.
01:01Now, Pat's RB.
01:02He's number two RB, but Trevion Henderson will not play tonight.
01:06He's nursing an ankle.
01:09So, it's going to be Stevenson.
01:10Do you have Stevenson on any of your squads?
01:13I think I have him on one.
01:13I did pick him in at least one squad last night.
01:16Yep.
01:17You had a big fantasy night last night, right?
01:19Didn't you have two major leagues?
01:21Big one out of the Bikey Bots country estate in Poolsville slash Dickerson.
01:25Right.
01:26And you're happy with your team?
01:27I think I'm happy with both.
01:29We are happy with both teams.
01:31We're very overweight on Christian McCaffrey and Chris Alave.
01:35Like a lot of them.
01:36They put all the eggs in one basket.
01:37A lot of our fortunes rest with those two guys.
01:40So, hold on.
01:40How does that work?
01:42You guys are partners, I thought.
01:43We are partners.
01:44Yeah.
01:44But you have two teams in the league?
01:46Two teams in two separate leagues.
01:48In two separate leagues.
01:49Okay.
01:50Gotcha.
01:50And they're both fairly high dollar leagues for us?
01:53Yes.
01:53Correct.
01:54Yeah.
01:54Okay.
01:55But trust me, I'm a minority owner.
01:58Oh, you are?
01:59You're not a 50-50 owner?
02:00No, no, no.
02:01I have like a Magic Johnson level slice of ownership.
02:06Right.
02:06Okay.
02:06Maybe slightly bigger.
02:08Yeah.
02:08I'm not Josh Harris.
02:09Right.
02:10What time was that?
02:12First draft was at 630.
02:1432nd was at 815.
02:15Bam.
02:16Bang, bang.
02:17Knocked him out.
02:18Nice.
02:18They were both at his house.
02:20Correct.
02:20Give us the highlights.
02:21Top three guys that went.
02:23Do you remember off the top three guys?
02:24Top three guys from my team?
02:25No, no.
02:25They were all overall.
02:26No, it was always Gibbs, Bijon, and then either like Puka or Jamar Chase.
02:32And then I was sitting at four and one and six and the other.
02:36Got CMC in both.
02:38And that's who you were targeting.
02:39Fingers crossed.
02:40Yeah.
02:41He needs Christian McCaffrey to stay healthy and stay upright.
02:43Or is either league a super flex?
02:46No, but each league is full PPR.
02:49So if Christian McCaffrey plays in a bunch of games and catches 100 balls out of the backfield,
02:56it's a good thing.
02:57Well, you get to watch him tomorrow.
02:58But tonight, I am interested to see the Patriots offense.
03:02Drake May coming off an almost MVP season.
03:05He finished as the runner-up.
03:08And now he's got A.J. Brown and Boote.
03:11No, Boote's gone.
03:12I mean, A.J. Brown and Dobbs.
03:14Sorry, and Dobbs.
03:16So he's got a better receiving core.
03:18I mean, last year he had 31 touchdown passes and threw for almost 4,400 yards.
03:24And he's got a better receiving core.
03:26I think Travion hurts a little bit because he's the explosive part of that backfield duo.
03:31But Stevenson is serviceable.
03:33He's going to get 20 carries tonight.
03:35He's going to get the bulk of the carries.
03:36He's going to be busy.
03:38The first team for the Pats, I'm not sure about the Seahawks, but the first team for the Pats
03:42just didn't play a lot at all in the preseason.
03:45So I just don't know what to expect.
03:46But I want to see how Jadarian Price works as the – I'm guessing he's the lead RB now
03:52with Kenneth Walker gone, Charbonnet, sidelined at this point.
03:56Yeah, it'll be interesting to see how, even though May's in his third year, still young quarterback,
04:01how he plays on the road coming off that season last year in Seattle.
04:05It's going to be tough.
04:06I wouldn't put a touchdown prop on Jadarian Price.
04:09I'm talking Mar out of that this morning.
04:11Because of George Helani, are you worried about him sniping the touchdowns?
04:14Touchdowns?
04:15Yeah, they're just not going to give Price goal line carries, I don't believe, as a rookie.
04:20And Helani has done it before.
04:23And at plus 180, I'd put money on that.
04:25Or even – yeah.
04:28On Helani to score?
04:30For sure, yeah.
04:31If you're looking for a touchdown prop.
04:34He's at plus 180?
04:35Yeah, Price is plus 120.
04:37Okay.
04:37I just don't see them doing that.
04:39They'll get him out of there, like at the five-yard line.
04:41Yeah, but what if he rips like a 30-yarder?
04:43Okay, all right, well then.
04:45That's bad luck.
04:48Yeah.
04:48All right, so that's tonight.
04:50Of course, tomorrow night, they're playing tomorrow night here.
04:53They're playing Friday morning in Australia, in Melbourne.
04:57But San Francisco will play the Rams.
05:00And San Francisco's been there for like a week, right?
05:02They've been there.
05:03And the Rams just got there about an hour ago.
05:05Yeah, the Rams were up yesterday.
05:07That's an 8-35 game.
05:08That's on Netflix.
05:11San Francisco's got a password up and running, ready to go.
05:15Well, he's got his own Netflix.
05:16Yeah, you have one.
05:17That's one thing he actually pays for.
05:18Netflix cracking down on piracy.
05:21Look out.
05:22Right.
05:22But, you know, the 49ers have been nursing a bunch of injuries.
05:27Looks like Nick Bosa and George Kittle, they both made the trip.
05:30Both probably going to play.
05:31That's what Shani says.
05:33They did lose Alfred Collins.
05:35Now, this is pretty big.
05:37Because he's a starting defensive tackle, second-year player, drafted him out of Texas in the second
05:41round, tore his patella tendon in practice yesterday.
05:46That's big.
05:47But Shani was butt's ice because Aaron Donald's not going to play.
05:50Aaron Donald's not going to play.
05:52Did he travel?
05:53Did not travel.
05:53Yeah, that makes sense.
05:55Veteran says, I don't need that travel.
05:56I think he's more distraught that he lost his starting defensive tackle than Aaron Donald
06:00not playing.
06:01I don't know.
06:01I listened to his presser.
06:02He seemed pretty happy that he was going to have to face Aaron Donald.
06:04He did acknowledge, we'll have to face him later in the year.
06:07I don't know why.
06:07I don't know why he is, but he just lost one of the big front four for the year.
06:12He said, I prepared for the worst.
06:14It's like, this is the best news I've ever heard all week.
06:16He loves that.
06:17Matt Stafford, Kyron Williams.
06:19All those offensive pieces for the Rams that they don't have to deal with him.
06:22And they're probably going to have to start a rookie.
06:24Yeah.
06:26So, we'll see how that works.
06:28But you've got a game tonight, and of course, a huge game tomorrow night, Rams and Niners from
06:33Melbourne.
06:34We talked about the Nats.
06:36They lost again.
06:37They lost out in San Diego.
06:39This was a bad one.
06:40I mean, they're all bad.
06:41But they lose 5-4.
06:43They had a pretty sizable lead, I believe, going into the eighth inning.
06:48I think they were up 4-1.
06:504-1, yeah.
06:50They allow 4 in the bottom of the eighth.
06:55Most of it, I believe, was, is it Jared Simpson?
06:58I don't know where they got him.
07:00I think they called him up a couple weeks ago.
07:04And he's a lefty.
07:06He's a big guy.
07:06But he gave up a bunch of runs.
07:08ERA's near 7.
07:09And they lose 5-4.
07:11I believe they lost 6 straight.
07:13Now, they're playing the Dodgers and Padres.
07:15Good teams out there on the road.
07:16But they've lost at least three of those games late.
07:22And I believe all blown saves.
07:24And they set a record, set a major league team record of blown saves for the year.
07:29Big news is, you know, sort of down on the farm,
07:32is that they called up Eli Willits to double A,
07:36which sets him up so that if he kills it like he did this year,
07:42he could make a mid-season call-up to triple A,
07:46and then the watch is on, Kakes.
07:49Oh, mid-season next year?
07:51Yes.
07:51Ah, okay.
07:52Good.
07:53Yes.
07:53You would go see him in Fredericksburg.
07:55Aren't the Fred Nats the double A team?
07:57That's actually something I should do.
08:00I mean, it's an hour away.
08:01Yeah, I've been there before.
08:02Yeah.
08:02Brought my camera, took some amazing shots out there.
08:04Yo-Yo Morales hit another homer.
08:07It's a guy who was tearing it up in Rochester.
08:09Yeah, I mean, there's some positives.
08:11We can talk to P.T. about, but man, the blown saves,
08:15and it's been a multitude of guys.
08:18I mean, it seems like every guy they call up.
08:20Yeah, you can't explain it on one entity.
08:23Well, JP talked about it earlier.
08:25If they just closed out a third of those,
08:28they'd be in the wild card, correct?
08:30Yes.
08:30Just a third, yeah.
08:32Well, yeah, I mean, if they give them 13 more wins,
08:37that's, you know, that's 80 wins.
08:39Yes, that's in the wild card.
08:42Because the leading wild card team right now in the National League,
08:46I believe, has, what, 81 wins?
08:49Yeah, Philadelphia, 81 wins.
08:50Philly and the Cubs have 81.
08:52They'd be right in the mix.
08:53Yep, and Arizona has got 78, still lead the pods by half a game.
08:56But, yep, a bad blown save.
08:59Got to get a closer.
08:59For the Nats last night.
09:01But we'll talk to Paul Timoni later in the show.
09:02Yep, Paul Timoni's going to join us at 9.
09:04Mike Loxley at 9.45.
09:07Of course, all of our tennis talk on the show, by the way.
