00:00Dozens of exhibitors from several countries are taking part in the El Alamein International
00:05Air Show which is being held this week at the airport of Egypt's northwestern Mediterranean
00:10coast.
00:10The show features a wide range of military aircraft including the U.S. F-15 and F-16
00:15fighter jets, Russia's Su-57E and French Rafale aircraft.
00:20In the background behind me is a guided bomb named GK-1000 which carries around a thousand
00:25kilograms of explosives. It has a range of approximately 100 kilometers after being dropped
00:31from the aircraft and reaches a speed of about 700 kilometers per hour. Once launched it
00:36is guided towards the intended target up to 100 kilometers away at nearly 700 kilometers
00:42per hour achieving precision accuracy with a margin of error of no more than 3 meters.
00:49Transport planes and helicopters are also on display alongside military equipment from
00:55international defense companies.
00:59Drone features prominently across the exhibition grounds with Chinese and Egyptian unmanned aircraft
01:05displayed alongside conventional combat aircraft.
01:11There is no doubt that modern and future warfare revolves around the use of unmanned system
01:16in general, whether aerial ground or naval applications. However, additional challenges require systems
01:22to counter these incoming drones from the opposing sides. Thankfully, the UAE possesses all the required
01:29capabilities in this domain.
01:32Among the Egyptian-made systems on display are the Jabra 200 and Jabra 250 drones as well as the Hamza
01:391 and Hamza 3.
01:40Several types of aerial bombs and other military equipment are also being presented
01:45located at Egyptians and foreign pavilions.
