Learn how to add minutes to time.

In Excel, you can easily manage time calculations by using simple formulas. If you're wondering "How do I add a minute to time in Excel?" you can do this by using the formula =B5 + (1/(24*60)), where B5 is the cell with the original time. To answer "How do I sum minutes and time in Excel?" you can use the formula =B5 + (H16/(24*60)), where B5 contains the time and H16 contains the number of minutes to add. If you're curious "How do I add 15 minute increments in Excel?" you can use =B5 + (15/(24*60)). For the question "How do I add minutes to a time?" you can use =B5 + (H16/(24*60)), where H16 is the cell with the number of minutes. Lastly, if you need to know "How do you increment 30 minutes in Excel?" simply use =B5 + (30/(24*60)). These methods make it easy to perform various time calculations in Excel.

00:00Today I've got a really cheap trick for you. How do you add minutes to a time in Excel?
00:04Well, this is how I do it. You're going to start off by saying equal 24 times 60,
00:09which is going to give you the number of minutes in a single day. Now to convert your 15 minutes
00:14into a fraction of a day, we take the value in cell C5, which is 15, divided by 24 times
00:2160.
00:22And this is going to amount to a value of 0.01. And if we add this fraction of a
00:27day
00:28to the time in cell B5, this effectively adds the minute from cell C5 to the time in B5.
00:35Cool, isn't it? Let's finish off by applying the same formula for the rest of rows, and then you're done.
