00:00And the Rams, man, I'll tell you what, you talk about a team, Joe.
00:03I said this on my podcast today.
00:05I really, I've never seen a team be so disinterested in being in a football game
00:11as I saw the Rams last night.
00:13The whole situation.
00:14I don't know how they did it because you know what happens, you know,
00:17in a Super Bowl.
00:18Teams got to get to the side a week beforehand and do all the interviews.
00:21You know, the same thing, teams that are going over to Europe,
00:24they get there two, three, four days in advance.
00:26So the Rams obviously wanted no part of this.
00:28And they just told, I guess, the NFL, listen, we're going to get in there
00:31as late as possible, and we're going to get the hell out of there
00:34as early as possible.
00:35So we're going to fly in 24 hours.
00:37We don't care about the game.
00:39Three and a half, four minutes left, three timeouts,
00:42and they just run out the clock like it's a five-score game.
00:45They don't care.
00:46I mean, it's unbelievable.
00:48I've never seen a team.
00:49I know they're down three.
00:50I get that.
00:51But you know what?
00:52I've seen crazy comebacks.
00:54You have all three of your timeouts.
00:55You got the two-minute warning.
00:57You know the defense is going to play, oh, by the way, defense.
01:00You score a quick touchdown.
01:01Maybe any kind of luck.
01:03You know, you score before the two-minute warning.
01:05You can even kick the ball deep, use your timeouts,
01:07and get the ball back and score again,
01:09and then maybe do an onsides kick with 30 seconds left.
01:12I've seen crazy things happen, but the Rams went in no part of that.
01:15And I've never seen a team quit like they did and just not try.
01:19And like I said, their whole attitude was just, we don't want to be here.
01:23We're going to get in.
01:24We're going to get out, and we're going to cross this off as a loss, no big deal.
01:27So that was embarrassing.
01:29And then the dopey uniform they were trying to work.
01:31The kangaroo outfits, I don't know if you watch the post-game show.
01:34The whole thing was stupid.
01:35It really was just goofy.
01:37It was too stupid.
01:38I don't get it.
01:40Like, honestly, I do not get it.
01:42The whole thing was a little strange to me, Scott.
01:45And the way that the Rams went about approaching this game, I mean, you spent two years sending
01:53over 15 different staffers to try to come up with the best way.
01:58I mean, the 49ers, I think, figured it out pretty good.
02:01Let's go ahead the week early, and let's get adjusted and good to go.
02:06They literally had to fly halfway around the world, go to a hotel, get a couple hours,
02:11to get up in the morning, and then go and play football again.
02:14How is that better than trying to get assimilated there for over a week?
02:18Yeah.
02:19And, you know, McVeigh says, well, hindsight is always 20-20.
02:22No, that was stupid from the beginning.
02:25And, you know, how could you make the case that that would be smart, flying 16 hours?
02:30I get it.
02:31Not flying Southwest Airlines.
02:32I get that.
02:32But you're flying 16 hours.
02:35Nobody thought that was a good idea.
02:37It's not hindsight.
02:38It was stupid from the get-go, right?
02:41Aaron Donald says, I'm not doing that.
02:43Screw that.
02:44I'm not going.
02:45You know, Miles Garrett's like, he's so pissed off that he had to go, even though he hasn't
02:50practiced for a week.
02:51Joe, he had zero pressures.
02:52Zero.
02:53First time in nearly 10 years he played the game.
02:56He wanted no part of that game.
02:58Nobody did.
02:59It was just get in, get out.
03:00And we took one for the team at NFL.
03:04Crazy.
03:04Yeah.
03:05And again, you could have sent the Dolphins there.
03:09You could have sent the Falcons.
03:11Like, you could have sent anybody there.
03:13Why did you send these two teams is beyond me here.
