From RUTH to DAVID - The Timeline You Never Noticed
Everyone knows Ruth, and everyone knows David. But almost no one connects them.
This is the hidden timeline that connects our Ruth series to The Anointing of David:
Ruth (the Moabite widow) married Boaz in Bethlehem.
They had a son: OBED.
Obed became the father of JESSE.
Jesse became the father of 8 sons.
And his youngest son, a red-haired shepherd boy tending sheep in the field, was DAVID - the one Samuel anointed.
In just 3 generations: From a foreigner with no hope, to the greatest King of Israel.
This is why Ruth is in the genealogy of Jesus (Matthew 1:5). God loves to use the unlikely, the forgotten in the field, to change history.
This video connects:

▶️ THE ANOINTING OF DAVID - The Chosen One (History of a King - Part 2)
Watch the full story in order and see how God weaves everything together.
📖 Based on Ruth 4:13-17 and 1 Samuel 16:1-13
