00:00Kyle Whittingham is not, I don't want to say falling out of favor,
00:03but, man, that's a hot seat.
00:06Hotter than anybody would have thought after one game.
00:09After one game.
00:10Michigan fans, you would have thought that Kyle Whittingham
00:17had Urban Meyer's resume, but basically they all retroactively decided
00:24Sharon Moore was the worst coach of the sport had ever seen,
00:27and that meant that Whittingham was going to smoothly walk them
00:31to a nine-win season, and one game later, oh, no, he's in over his head.
00:39You know, you've mentioned Bryce Underwood a few times, obviously, rightfully so.
00:43Kyle Whittingham is doing this kid zero favors.
00:48Kyle Whittingham looks like he is zeroing in on not QB one, scapegoat one.
00:53This is the kid to blame.
00:55I didn't recruit him.
00:56I didn't pay him all that money.
00:58Somebody else did, and this kid doesn't have it,
01:01and that's why we're almost losing to Western Michigan,
01:03and that's why we may or may not lose to Oklahoma.
01:07But I will be maybe the, you know, the craziest man alive.
01:12He does deserve, like, an ounce of credit for the hell, man.
01:15I mean, it was a nice throw, right?
01:18Like 60 yards in the air.
01:20Yes, the second, yeah.
01:21Well, the first one, he completely, he got two looks at it, right, which was nice.
01:24You know what I mean?
01:25Like, that did help.
01:27That did help.
01:28And he got hammered on the play, too, which kind of helped because the ball didn't go as far.
01:33It was a good throw.
01:37And I didn't like the Kyle Whittingham hire from the beginning
01:40and thought that that wasn't a Michigan-type hire,
01:42and I'm not at all surprised they've jumped off the cliff there.
01:45And, Kevin, like, I teach a class at the University of Florida in sports betting and fantasy,
01:49and this was just an epic case study to teach students, like, this is a market.
01:54That's what this is.
01:56It's not a who's going to win, who's going to lose.
01:58Sports betting is a market and treated as such.
02:01And this was perfect timing.
02:02That was what the lecture was going to be about anyway was the market.
02:05And you have a look ahead at minus one and a half.
02:08Flipped it, all of a sudden it's three, four, four and a half, five and a half.
02:11Is it going to get to seven?
02:13And why that was going on.
02:14And then the buyback.
02:15It is a perfect case study, which is why I want nothing to do with the line
02:20because the odds makers, like you said, are telling you that Michigan should be favored a year ago.
02:24But now they're saying a one-game sample size flips it.
02:27I want nothing to do with the point spread.
02:29I can fully admit I have nothing to do with it.
02:31I'm just basing this on Oklahoma has a top defense.
02:35Michigan's offense, whether it's Whittingham's fault, whether it's Underwood's fault,
02:38whether what we saw last year, they're not very good.
02:41And when you have that and you look at the numbers, they scored 13 in this game last year.
02:45They didn't get any better.
02:47So I'm just playing with the team total under and isolating that.
02:50As far as who's going to win, I still think it's Oklahoma, but I'm not putting money on it.
