September 12, 2026 — Antalya, Türkiye. Wildfires in the province have flared up again, with flames spreading rapidly and thick smoke affecting nearby communities.
The main blaze began in the Aksu district on September 7 and spread toward Kepez, forcing hundreds of residents to evacuate. Yeşilkaraman was among the settlements affected by evacuation efforts. More than 1,000 personnel, along with aircraft, helicopters and firefighting vehicles, have been deployed to battle the flames.
The situation remains difficult as strong winds continue to fuel the fires and complicate firefighting operations.
