03:37The recommendations we have presented today
03:43are a guide for the four pillars of India's chairmanship
03:47Resilience, Innovation, Cooperation and Sustainability
03:53First, Resilience
03:55Recent years have demonstrated the importance
03:58and dependability of the supply chains
04:01food, energy security, modern infrastructure
04:05and diversified production networks
04:07The Council proposes a supply chain resilience framework
04:12for BRICS to strengthen information sharing
04:16and preparedness during the disruption
04:18We have also a scope for pilot value chain in sectors
04:25drawing on complementary strengths of our economies
04:29Second, Innovation
04:30Technology is transforming every part of our economies
04:34from farm, factories to finance, logistics and energy
04:39Our ambition is not to simply adopt new technologies
04:43but to innovate together
04:45The report calls for deeper cooperation in artificial intelligence
04:49digital infrastructure
04:51advancing manufacturing
04:53connecting business, technology providers
04:56and innovation ecosystem across BRICS
04:59Third, Cooperation
05:03On business, cooperation becomes meaningful
05:06if it makes it easier to trade, invest and operate across markets
05:11The report therefore emphasizes on paperless trade
05:15electronic documentation
05:16and greater interoperability among digital systems
05:21The fourth, Sustainability
05:24Our business, businesses' sustainability must go hand in hand
05:29with energy security, affordability and industrial competitiveness
05:33The report identifies opportunities for cooperation on green hydrogen, biofuel
05:39sustainable aviation fuel and low carbon fuels
05:43Such cooperation must be supported by progress in technology, standards, infrastructure and financing
05:50It can create new industries, value chains, investments and employment across our economies

05:59The resilience gives our economy strength
06:03Innovation gives us competitiveness
06:05Cooperation gives them scale
06:07The sustainability gives them longevity
06:10The opportunity before us is to bring all four together
06:15For the business council, success ultimately is measured by not the number of recommendations we make
06:22but by the outcome of them
06:24Projects launched, partnerships formed, technologies developed and trade and investment generated
06:31Governments create an enabling environment
06:34Business must turn them into opportunity and economic value
06:40The BRICS Business Council stands ready to work with our governments and institutions in this endeavor

07:38from the Government, it is my privilege to present the 2026 Annual Report of the BRICS
07:44Women's Business Alliance under India's Chairship. At the outset, I would like to
07:49acknowledge the brilliant leadership of our Honorable Prime Minister, Srinarendra
07:54Modiji, whose vision has placed women-led development firmly at the heart of India's
07:59growth story, and whose support has given women across India greater opportunity to
08:05participate, lead, and prosper. For that, sir, we thank you.
08:11Excellencies, across BRICS, women are building businesses, creating jobs, driving
08:17innovation, and contributing to growth. The next step is to enable more women entrepreneurs
08:23to move from participation to leadership, from small enterprise to scale, and from success
08:29in one market to opportunities across BRICS. That is the central message of this report.
08:36Women's economic empowerment and leadership is not a sectoral issue. It is an economic strategy.
08:42Our recommendations focus on four broad areas. First, creating the conditions for
08:49women-led enterprises to grow. Women entrepreneurs need greater access to markets, finance, technology,
08:56skills, and business networks. They need stronger pathways into value chains and procurement.
09:02The WBA's report on care economy also recognizes the importance and its impact on women's ability
09:09to participate fully and lead the workforce. Second, expanding access to capital and innovation.
09:18Good ideas do not become strong businesses without finance. We need stronger connections between
09:23women entrepreneurs and investors, and financing mechanisms that enable women-led enterprises to scale.
09:30The BRICS DPI report shows how digital public infrastructure, such as UPI, can serve as a bridge between
09:37public policy and women's economic development. Our compendium on financial inclusion talks about
09:44the scalable practices and solutions from various BRICS nations. And as technology transforms our
09:50economies, women must not only be users, they must be creators, innovators, and leaders.
09:57Third, strengthening resilience through women-led solutions. Across BRICS, women are already creating
10:04solutions in healthcare, agriculture, food security, tourism, and the creative economy. Our recommendations seek
10:11to strengthen preventive and digital healthcare, climate-smart agriculture, intellectual property ownership,
10:17and new markets for women creators and entrepreneurs. Fourth, taking what works to scale across BRICS.
10:25One of the greatest strengths of BRICS is the diversity of experience across our countries.
10:30We do not need to reinvent every solution. We need to identify what works, adapt it when necessary,
10:37and take successful models to scale. The BRICS WBA has developed a series of knowledge reports with
10:4510 key recommendations across healthcare, inclusive economy, agriculture, creative economy,
10:51innovative development, and tourism, which we hope can serve as pathways for action.
10:56Excellencies, for the Women's Business Alliance, the next phase is about scale.
11:02Scaling women-led enterprises, scaling access to capital, scaling innovation, scaling market opportunities,
11:11and most importantly, scaling successful solutions across our economies.
11:16The BRICS WBA will continue to build connections between policy and enterprise, ideas and investment,
11:23and women entrepreneurs and opportunities across our countries.
11:27For BRICS to realize its full economic potential, women must have the opportunity to build, own, and lead at scale.
11:36Women-led development must therefore not sit alongside the BRICS growth story.
11:42It must help define it.
