Part 3 - Several predictive easter eggs to businessman Elon Musk's companies such as Tesla & SpaceX may be shown in 1987 Mel Brooks parody Spaceballs. The movie is cited as an influence on the naming of the Plaid premium brand for Tesla's electric road cars, based on the scene where Lord Helmet orders the faux empire starship to jump to warp speed to pursue hero Lonestar & Princess Vespa. However, there may be some references that defy a linear sequence of events.

- YOU ARE HERE - One way to tell the near present (2026) (when Elon Musk's companies became a hot topic) may be described in Spaceballs is to look at the cast. Rick Moranis (Lord Helmet) also played sidekick Louis in the Ghostbusters ('84+) films. Future President Donald Trump cameos in a music video for Ghostbusters 2 ("On Our Own" by Bobby Brown) in 1989. He was elected to his first term in 2016 and his second, in 2024.
- Tesla (the electric car company) is named after inventor Nikola Tesla (1856-1943) who was credited with many inventions & discoveries (AC Current / Radio) that formed the foundation of modern civilization.
- There's a great link to Tesla (the man) via director Mel Brooks. For his 1981 anthology comedy History Of The World, Part I, prolific director / actor Orson Welles was hired to narrate. Welles played banking giant J.P. Morgan in The Secret of Nikola Tesla, a 1980 biographical drama on the inventor.
- John Hurt acted in History Of The World and also cameos in Spaceballs.
- The final acting role of Orson Welles was voicing the planet size robot Unicron in 1986's animated The Transformers: The Movie. This was based on the popular toy line.
- A link to the Tesla company can be seen here through Transformers hero Optimus Prime who changes into a big rig truck. For their 2021 robot, Tesla named Optimus after the character.

00:00In this video, I'll share some future Easter eggs to some of the efforts and activities of American businessman Elon
00:08Musk.
00:09You can see these via the 1987 Mel Brooks sci-fi parody, Spaceballs, star John Candy Rick Moranis, Bill Pullman,
00:20Daphne Zuniga, Dave Van Patten, and Joan Rivers.
00:24People will say actually Spaceballs was influential on the naming of the plaid premium model of Tesla's road cars.
00:35The moniker derives from a jump in speed that Lord Helmet and the faux Empire ship switches into to pursue
00:46Lone Star as RV.
00:48But on closer inspection, there's some supportive connections that apparently defy a linear sequence of events.
00:56You are here.
00:57How do you know by viewing Spaceballs in 87 that they may be talking about a future time period when
01:05Elon Musk's companies arose to prominence?
01:10You can see this in a couple different ways.
01:13A real obvious one is by looking at some of the cast after Rick Moranis, for example, who plays Lord
01:20Helmet.
01:21He was also sidekick Lewis in the Ghostbusters horror comedy films directed by Ivan Reitman.
01:28It turns out that President Donald Trump made a cameo in a music video for Ghostbusters 2 in 1989.
01:38Trump later elected in 2016 or re-elected in 2024.
01:47And this also coincides when Mr. Musk's companies, SpaceX, and Tesla were talked about almost daily in the mainstream news
01:56media.
01:57The Tesla company is named for engineer and inventor Nikola Tesla, who did a lot of important work around the
02:07turn of the century, 1900.
02:10Totally underrated scientist, one of the greatest creative minds of the last millennium.
02:16If certain people had given him more of an opportunity, we could have been 100 or 200 years ahead technologically.
02:24Among other things, he discovered the application of alternating current, which is the basis for electrical power generation used in
02:35almost everybody's home and office in 2026.
02:39Also created with inventing radio broadcasting.
02:43So there's a great Nikola Tesla link via the cast and production of Spaceballs.
02:49It's through the prolific actor and director Orson Welles.
02:54Welles acted in the 1980 biographical film, The Secret of Nikola Tesla, which dramatizes events in the engineer's life, including
03:04his encounters with inventor Thomas Edison and banker J.P. Morgan.
03:10Others in this cast, Petr Bojevich, Strother Martin, and Oya Kodar.
03:16Now director Mel Brooks hired Welles to narrate his 1981 anthology comedy, History of the World, Part 1.
03:27Many well-known actors in this cast, including Don Deleuze, Madeline Kahn, Cloris Leachman, Pamela Stevenson, Hugh Hefner, Barry Levinson,
03:37John Hurt, who also cameos in Spaceballs, by the way.
03:41The final acting role of Orson Welles is another link to the Tesla company.
03:48He played the planet-sized robot Unicorn in 1986's animated The Transformers the movie.
03:56Based on the popular toy line, the hero Autobot in Transformers is Optimus Prime, who can change into a big
04:07rig 18-wheeler truck.
04:09Tesla chose to name its humanoid robot Optimus for the Transformers character, announced in 2021.
