00:08Now, over the weekend, we got some welcoming showers and cloud cover.
00:13This was mainly due to an increase in tropical moisture across the region as the ITCZ became more active near
00:21Trinidad and Tobago.
00:22The moist year combined with the convergence of the trade winds helped fuel cloud developments and showers across both islands,
00:31giving us a brief break from the hotter and drier conditions.
00:35Now, moving on to what we can expect tonight, mostly fair but hazy conditions despite the chance of isolated showers
00:42with minimum temperatures of 25 degrees in Trinidad and 26 in Tobago.
00:47And for tomorrow, we will get some sunshine but it will be interrupted by parking cloudy skies with more showers.
00:55There's a possibility that heavier showers can occur.
00:59Daytime temperatures will reach up to 34 degrees in Trinidad and 32 over in Tobago.
01:05Now, there's two things I also want you to be mindful of tomorrow.
01:09In the event of heavy showers or thunderstorms, gusty winds are likely and street of flash flooding.
01:14And secondly, a mild to moderate concentration of Saharan dust is expected, so move accordingly.
01:21Now, those same conditions will continue on Wednesday with party cloudy spells with isolated showers but not exactly the same
01:30on Thursday.
01:31Thursday will bring more sunny skies and it will be extremely hot with some breezy conditions as well that will
01:38be interrupted by party cloudy spells with showers.
01:42Now, it's our sun times in Trinidad.
01:44Sunrises at 5.55 and 5.52 in Tobago and sunset at 6.06 in Trinidad and 6.03 in
01:51Tobago.
01:52And if you didn't get a chance to go to the beach over the weekend and heading there tomorrow, seas
01:57will be slight to moderate waves, 1 meter to 1.5 meters in open waters and below 1 meter in
02:04sheltered areas.
02:05So, relatively manageable.
02:07Now, it's now time for your tide times.
02:19Now, here's what's happening in the Atlantic.
02:21The 2026 Atlantic hurricane season has been unusually quiet, reaching mid-September without a single hurricane.
02:30The latest, this has happened since 1941.
02:34So far, only five named storms have formed.
02:38Arthur, Bertha, Cristobal, Dolly and Edward with non-reaching hurricane strength.
02:44Meteorologists attribute the lack of development largely to a strengthening El Nino, which has increased windshare over the Atlantic, along
02:52with dry air and sinking air that have made conditions unfavorable for tropical development.
02:58While the quiet season is happy news for the Caribbean, hurricane season continues through November 30th, so residents should remain
03:07prepared.
