00:03Trying to walk the talk.
00:04Good morning, how are you?
00:06The buck does stop with us.
00:08I've made it very clear there cannot be any more buck passing on road maintenance.
00:13He might want to talk about fixing, you know, potholes into the future,
00:16but how did we get into this position in the first place?
00:19The Premier promising Victorian roads will be fixed.
00:22I don't shy away that we need to be better,
00:25and I know Victorians have heard it before.

01:06People value more than just infrastructure,
01:09and that's why this Premier, Premier Ben Carroll,
01:11has actually waylaid some of the rail-level crossing removals to get the basics done.
01:18The Premier wants to double the number of potholes fixed this year to 500,000
01:22and to bring road maintenance back in-house.
01:25The opposition is promising to ramp up investment and proactive work too
01:30in what's become a serious and now tragic election issue.
01:34I'm dodging potholes in Frankston about as much as we ever have,
01:38and certainly I think there's more work to be done.
01:41My first phone call, Mary, after being sworn in...
