00:00Let's check in with Rochelle for more tonight's weather forecast.
00:04Thanks, Tisha. Good evening, Trinidad and Tobago. I hope you guys are staying hydrated
00:09because today was what the young people are saying now, steamy or like the older folks would say,
00:15hot to bad. As hot temperatures occurred across mainly Trinidad following a day of sunshine,
00:22light winds and high humidity across most areas of Trinidad and Tobago. But things
00:29should cool down a bit. The National Hurricane Center is monitoring a tropical disturbance
00:35well north of the Lesser Antilles with a medium chance of development over the next seven days.
00:42However, this system poses no threat to Trinidad and Tobago. Meanwhile, a bit lower down,
00:49we have an unrelated tropical wave that is expected to move across Trinidad and Tobago
00:55and the Lesser Antilles over the next 24 to 48 hours, bringing some welcome rainfall to islands
01:02currently experiencing drought conditions. Now, let's see what we're getting tonight. Tonight
01:07should be a bit cooler as we will get partly cloudy spells with showers over a few areas with minimum
01:14temperatures at 25 degrees in both islands. And moving on to conditions tomorrow, you're probably
01:20wondering, Rochelle, will I need my sunscreen or my umbrella? And my answer to that is both because
01:27according to the med office, we will get a mix of sunny spells and showers, especially during the
01:34morning and early afternoon with daytime temperatures at 33 degrees in Trinidad and 31 in Tobago. And the
01:42next two days will both bring mixed conditions as well. However, on Thursday, the day will start off
01:48initially sunny with a few periods of showers developing by midday. And on Friday, the day will start off with
01:55morning showers that will gradually give way to periods of sunshine by midday. Tower sun times now in
02:02Trinidad, sunrises at 555 and 552 in Tobago and sunset at 605 in Trinidad and 603 in Tobago. And seas,
02:11well, seas will be
02:12slightly moderate with waves, 1.2 meters to 1.5 meters in open waters and below 1 meter in sheltered
02:19areas. It's now time for your tide times.
02:34And before I go, here's a quick Tuesday tip. Water plants early in the morning or later in the afternoon
02:41to
02:41reduce water loss from evaporation. Well, that's your quick tip. And that's all for weather tonight. But wait, hold up,
02:49don't leave just yet because I have another episode of catching up for you later on. In
02:56the meantime, Sergio has your sports news next. Thanks a lot, Rochelle. Here's what's coming up. It's
